Never had a burn-in issue ever. The amount of people having screen burn in issue on their phones are no more than the amount of people who have a faulty motherboard or any other smartphone component.

I haven't used them but I do agree they are awesome value especially if you have collection of lenses. I'm not sure how Apple or Xperia or any other phone can come into same conversation with BMD Pocket Cam. We've used phones for drafting and some useless b-roll but none of the phones cant come close to Handycam like Z90 let alone something like BMD Pocket Cinema.

You read one review in PCMagazine or something and you keep on spamming Sony threads with it. Phone has dedicated mmWave boost mode if you need all the bandwidth you can get.
Second plastic does not slip, dent, chip and shatter like metal and glass do so for a phone that goes into the field plastic body makes a lot more sense.

You must be one of those that walk into Best Buy and see the most saturated and brightest TV on the display and think that one is the best amongst the bunch.
Samsung displays on their phones achieve brighntess by lowering contrast much like any other bright screen phone. But the point is something something else here , who many minutes (yes minutes) does your display go over 500 nits during the year? You would be surprised.

But this is how course corrections look like in the business world bro. There is a reason why Sony puts a costlier price and then bundles premium goodies with it. High prices and delayed-release are making sure their demand remains low. So that they need not have the issue of Operating cost which broke the backbone of the company... These are managerial decisions and we know very little of it. All we are doing is either criticizing or defending our stereotypical judgments.

My answer was that they are using mmWave spectrum, which needs line of sight otherwise signal is not as good, but it's extremely fast.

Lifespan decreases only on cheaply made Oled screens like the one Xperia uses
"No, oled today is not more burn-in proof than oled of years ago"
Yet very few people get burn in, mostly they are using Xperia phones which use dim lower quality panels to cut costs

They messed up. Plain and simple. Yet you keep hovering around oh they couldn't just scratch...I said multiple times that wasn't the only route they could have gone. They could have gone multiple different routes.
There is no excuse. They could have simply side this phone much cheaper and worked on a better more relevant replacement.
However nothing they released would have ever been close to being with 1500 let alone 2500.
And yes I have seen plenty of 888 devices let alone... this is not an 888 device... it's an 865 device. So what's your point?

Do I see an Honor 888 yet? ROG phone 5 Pro in the US? Nokia 888 device (might be more about them but still)? No. Sony's not the only one affected.
There wasn't much they could change. You could argue there was no point in releasing it but as many commenters here would tell you: it's a 5G external monitor for streaming that happens to be a phone. Sony isn't selling a phone completely. Hence why, people who want the 'phone' aspect could get the flagship at half the cost (or lower should you go Xperia 5).

Because the phone us... moreBecause it is for the price point. Especially for the frame. It's cheaper to produce, more fragile in the frame, and not as good for heat. Yet they charge more than double or triple phones with better materials.
And what does line of sight have anything to do with what I said????

Duh it needs a line of sight. Duh.
So why with a line of sight did it still perform worse?
And even without a line of sight of the whole point of the plastic materials was for better reception and it supposedly has better and more 5g antennas then should that not have been what proved those factors and had it come out ahead????
Do you get the point now or do I have to type it again and break it down more?
