- Energizer been there, done that. They even had a 10000mah phone. Does it sell well? Why dont u buy it?

These are about phone thickness discussion, stop diverting to something else. Stick with it.

'I don't have particularly big hands, yet I prefer thicker phones. There aren't any valid or legit reason to try and be against something that won't affect you in any ways and that a lot still want'
- Well some other person dont, and again, found it uncomfortable. As simple as that.

Nick Tegrataker, 09 Jul 2021"That's why despite being hated and completely us... moreCan still put better sensors than 2Mp ones.
At less than 10$ for the COMBO of two 12Mp+ sensors + lenses + housing and sometime even OIS, I don't see how two simple 12Mp sensors alone would make a significant price difference.

Tech enthusiasts who used to be listened to.
No, I don't blame others for MY IDEAL phones not existing, I know I have niche tastes, I blame people for OEMs NOT GIVING A DAMN ANYMORE and having a market where they just produce the same things over and over again as people have no other alternatives, so they'll buy it, rather than giving diversity, which as literally THE main argument of Android against Apple for a while.

Because when, regardless what is proposed, people like you feel the urge to try and FOR NO FRICKING REASONS WHAT SO EVER to take it down, who why hire way too many market analysts to listen to the community just so they can filter people who have LEGITIMATE concerns and complaints of people like you who just can't resist trying to ruin things that have nothing to do with and could perfectly and simply ignore it.

Mainly when my comment wasn't about making ALL PHONES thicker, but HAVING SOME AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET.
The ultimate arrogance of people thinking it is right to fight off people who defend stuff they have no access to, while considering they are totally legitimate fighting those things, and people who point out a lack/invasion of something.

Kingslayer, 09 Jul 2021Google can't offer us a smaller phone? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Will skip... moreIphone 12/12 pro have Lg oled.
Nobody notices difference for the mini/max (samsung oled).

Samsung can produce much more oled screens than LG, because Lg focus on big oled.
This way, samsung can reduce costs and sell for lower price than LG.

Kingslayer, 09 Jul 2021I was never planning to get the Pixel 6 any way. Very pleas... moreassume with the money you bought from 12 mini, I can change phone every 2 or 3 years for total 3 or 2 devices. If you change phone every 2 or 3 years the difference you get will feel good. example I buy cheap redmi 5 plus on 2018 and then at 2021 I change it to the Redmi Note 10 with same price. the difference is huge, and on 2024 I can get a better phone with 5G, and a better features with same price
if I buy 2018 iphone (maybe iphone X) for 6 years, on 2024 iphone X wil feel so outdated.
So I prefer change phone every 3 years with 1/3 prices of flagship at the 1st year

Best Pixel ever is still the Pixel 3. And not its XL counterpart. Perfect size. Only thing annoying is the Snapdragon 845 can overheat during the summer that my Pixel 3 can randomly turn off. I got mine in black so the Spigen case with the spider web can show on the back. Easy to wipe it off with a finger.

I've had my Pixel 3 for over 2 years and battery has held up well like it barely degraded. And battery life isn't that awful the same way the 12 mini isn't awful. I say it's about average to occasionally above average depending what you are doing. Nothing special. Typical 4-5 hr SOT like what most phones give. My two power banks are always next to me.

What makes my Pixel 3 truly special is it still takes superior photos than my 12 mini. That's a 2018 Pixel still beating a 2020 iPhone. The iPhone cameras are truly overrated. Not much better than an Essential Phone with GCam apk.

AnonD-909757, 09 Jul 2021Yet they could put 12Mp sensors, as I said, the price diffe... moreDifference can be few dollars.
Also, you multiply per all units.

Obviously, I would not mind paying $10 more to have a 12-13MP instead of 2/5/8MP rear cameras.

I was never planning to get the Pixel 6 any way. Very pleased with my iPhone 12 mini. I would read comments of old phones and it makes me smile reading about people still using a Galaxy S4, iPhone 4S, Xperia ZR, or whatever old phone. They didn't fall in the trap like so many of us do. Saved so money over the years.

A part of me does regret a little bit at getting the 12 mini. Not because it's terrible. It's the best iPhone I've ever owned. It's the fact the original iPhone SE from 2016 is not that much worse. It has an SoC that's 5 years older and can run the same apps as the 12 but slightly slower.

Apple makes phones that lasts. Most people only need tp upgrade once every 5 to 7 years. Just get the battery replaced after 2-3 years.

Shui8, 09 Jul 2021Those trendy slimmy phone design are at 6-7mm thk. This is ... morePoint is :
There are already the whole market full of phones like that, and despite A LOT OF PEOPLE preferring battery life over slim phones, there basically aren't any choice.
Yet, you are fighting it, once against, I never said all phones should be made thicker, I said some should, why the heck are you against that?
Who care what a company that removed their fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm Jack think is the right decision?

You LITERALLY say it yourself : "People hands certainly not at the same size"

LOL, 09 Jul 2021By the way, Google doesn't care how many Pixel phones ... moreWhile not many here care, Google's phones are closest thing to Apple's updating experience. New major Android version released? It'll be delivered that moment for everyone. Not 6 months later or a year later like it's quite common on most Android phones. Like, for example Android 12, when it'll be officially out, Pixel phones will get it right away and probably not spread out through several weeks like most vendors do. Everyone else will have to wait additional months to receive it. And if 5 years support is true, that's a huge deal and as much as I don't like what Google does with data hoarding, this would probably convince me to actually go back to Android. Because this is why I dumped Android in the first place. And I must say having phone that doesn't wobble about with such interesting design would be cool to use.

Google can't offer us a smaller phone? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Will skip the 6. The specs for the camera seems great. Of course the battery capacity is bigger if it powers larger displays with higher refresh rates. LG will provide the display for the Pros. Red flag there. Never forget the Pixel 2 XL and the image retention one the LG G5 and V20.

                        But I would guess Pixel 6 for $800 (128GB) / $880 (256GB) and 6 Pro from $1000 (128GB) to $1350 (512GB).

You do know that most average consumers just look at the number of cameras on a phone and are automatically going to assume that the more is better, instead of actually trying to understand the spec sheet let alone doing a proper research about their image quality like many of us here do, right? Useless 2MP monochrome/depth are cheaper than any 12MP sensors hence can save some costs for manufacturers. Your statement "despite being hated" only holds true in a small world of us tech enthusiasts.

                          "BECAUSE, of people like you"
Lol ok just keep blaming others for your ideal "the best smartphone" not being produced by any manufacturers, yep just keep doing that as you please.

AnonD-909757, 09 Jul 2021Because you say that as if it was a thing. Slim phones are... moreThose trendy slimmy phone design are at 6-7mm thk. This is literally a 8.9mm thk, at 6.7" device. People hands certainly not at the same size, therefore I said I myself found 8.8mm thk (minus case) at 6.5" already made me uncomfortable to hold single handed for long term usage, let alone to follow camera bump at 11.5mm thk. If you okay with it, some other people not.

I mean Pixel can just put their old tiny sensor and flush it with the body at 8.5mm if they want. But in this case, its not. Therefore I think Google's decision are right. If you mad about it, like I said, just told them. Email them, whatever you wanna do about it. Express your thought there.

Seriously, these are just preferences based on research on to design something. There are always people agree & disagree about it.
