The first person whom you repl... moreNo I originally said that the sensor is less than 1 inch, which they later mentioned that it's around 1 inch. While typing the next comment, I was multitasking and forgot to add almost 1 inch in my comment which I couldn't add later.

So I guess you are right, my comment does say 1 inch. I meant to ask if it was an almost 1-inch sensor.

[deleted post]Everyone knows Xperia sales are not as high as others, but they still make a profit from their phones, which is the main objective of a company, so it doesn't matter.

[deleted post]"Dont worry Samsung knows how to get great images and videos out their phones."

Oversaturated doesn't mean good, but I guess that's subjective.

"I'd be worried if Sony was making this phone, coz i know 10/10 times, they won't get the software right"

I'm talking about the camera sensor, not the phone.

[deleted post]"Everyone knows that this will be around the 1"

I said this sensor could be less than 1 inch. Around 1 inch doesn't mean it's 1 inch.

"0.7 micron combines to give 2.8 micron, wipes out your Xperia. Haha 😂"

That's cool man, but that doesn't address the problems with the sensor.

Samsung phones are pretty nice to use. However they are quite expensive, even the so call "budget" phones are not that cheap.

[deleted post]"Pixel size. How convenient of you to ignore effective pixel size after binning?"

I'm not ignoring effective pixel size, QB basically just combines small pixels and makes them bigger, but the actual pixels are still small. If they are too small it causes problems before the binning, we don't know how small the pixels are and how big the sensor is.

All I'm saying is that if the sensor is not big enough and the pixels have to be small, then it's useless to have 200MP.

"Your Xperia garbage struggling in low light giving dark video, all despite big pixels."

Again nobody bringing Xperia into this, but since you love it so much let's talk about it. The reason Xperia would struggle is because of sensor size, not because the sensor is a regular bayer.

It will be under 0.6 micron to make it fit inside a phone.

These leakers are useless ! I don't see any benefit for 200MP camera. 16-1 binning and 4-1 binning are totally same.
I hope samsung bring 144MP camera with both 9-1 binning and 16-1 super binning mode for video.

Considering the S20 U had a 100MP camera but a junk sensor causing for an oversharpened mess, Id say I have minimal faith in Samsung at the moment

[deleted post]Sony camera team is simply incapable of getting as good image quality as other flagships in auto mode. They should replace their incompetent engineers and hire developers from Google.
