But it is not mean that both are luxury. They are good, thats all. If I take a picture (from web) of Sony Venice camera + Leica prime cine lens, with one is luxury? Camera that cost 70.000USD or lens that cost 10.000USD? Sony has even camera that cost 400.000USD and pro OLED monitor that cost 60.000USD and they are best on the market on both segments. Is it luxury? No it is best in class but cost like luxury gear.
There is no luxury phone on the makret, maybe gold/platinum Virtu. Sony is luxury in technology because they give something that only Sony can provide...

For about a week now GSMA has been tirelessly campaigning against Sony. What the heck guys? It's becoming too personal. Review the phone and let it be... Don't go making up articles to give people chance to broadcast their hate on a brand. Galaxy and IPhone was not cheaper at launch. The Mi 11 Ultra was also in the same price bracket so what's all these anti Sony campaigns for price? A manufacturer tagged a price on their product, what then is your problem?
Continue being personal in your reviews and articles and think you won't loss Your visitors.
I think GSMA is just being cheap and petty here, using Sony articles to drive traffic. I will soon stop coming here, watch it.

I would love to have this phone as my secondary one since my work needs an iPhone. But the price this phone asking for is little bit high.
Specially after hearing one year of Major OS update just nail in the coffin man.

every sony news keeps me daydreaming about :
a sexy sony compact flagship ("xperia 22" maybe) that has:
dual sim plus dedicated SD card slot (one being esim)
5-5.5" FHD+ 90hz display
4000 mah super fast charging battery
5nm SD processor (any battery saving upper midrange one would do)
waterproof dustproof shockproof
high output 3 mm jack and one punchy and loud enough speaker on top edge (matching iphone 12's quality atleast)
not extra long/wide dimensions, can be thick if need be.
just one good enough camera lens with OIS EIS is fine.
rugged body if possible (no need of fragile shiny glass back) (as i prefer not using any case for my phone)
latest 5g band, latest wifi, latest usb, latest UFS and latest bluetooth ofcourse.
would buy at any given price, as long as it meets my criteria of a dreamphone.

Now that LG is out of the smartphone business, I have Sony and also the ASUS under my consideration despite not having Desktop Mode and FM Radio support. I never buy into people who claimed that the headphone jack is "irrelevant or on the way out and should just move on with the times" (I'm looking at you, Mrwhosetheboss). I used to be a long-time wireless headphone user and I'm not going back to it ever again.
