[deleted post]If Apple would have iPhone in 250$ price point they would steal huge amount of Android sales. Apple alone is selling over 60% of over 400$ phones, that’s just huge. What you think would happen if Apple make 250$ phone, but they don’t need to do as they already own the market they want and they are widening it every year.

[deleted post]Yeah, you people keep throwing this "batterygate" around like some sort of "gotcha" thing. But do you ACTUALLY know what "batterygate" was about? Apple added feature that slows down chipset when battery is very worn to a point phone can and most often will die when higher power draw happens and battery can't handle it. Result? You can use the phone without worrying it'll just randomly shut down because power draw on battery was too high. But it'll be slightly slower. Apple literally made phones be usable for longer with same old worn battery. Issue was, the thing was automatic with no option to change it and Apple didn't communicate the thing properly. That was the whole "batterygate". So, do tell me again how is trying to make totally worn out phones still be somewhat usable forcing users to buy new phone? Opposed to what, trying to open maps and phone just shuts down due to sudden voltage drop in battery? That's better? How?

It is what it is, Android flagships just doesn’t sell, people mostly buy Android because they can’t afford iPhone, so it’s their only choice.

Yeah right... iPhone 12 is perfectly compact for majority of people and clearly shows. 12 mini looks nice not gonna lie but it's a bit too small and it's starting price was not worth it. Now, at least in UK, the price is right.

No-one said that, but clearly there's something wrong them because people just aren't buying them like they used to. I would say it's lot to do with this 2 years OS support, because people know there's zero real reason why wouldn't they get newest Android version. And when Apple is giving very long support, it matters and every year it matters more, that's why Samsung is giving 3 years support now.

While android phones have shorter software support, google has done a good job modularising the OS with project mainline and treble so you still get critical security updates even after official support has ended after let's say 4 years. And most people don't even use their phones longer than 4 years. Even if they did it's not like their phones suddenly stop working and they still receive some key security updates.
Android phones also have better camera sensors, higher resolution, higher refresh rate, better battery life, faster charging, better design, no notch/smaller notch and many more devicespecific features(both software and hardware).
Iphones sell so well because Apple is also a lifestyle brand. You pay for the brand.
Not saying iPhones are worse, it's just that you have to be a fanboy to claim android flagships don't compare to iphones. They certainly do and are better/worse depending on individual preferences.

Only Apple can sell a high number of flagships unlike the Android makers who can only sell low end cheap phones in high numbers. Glad the 12 Pro Max is up there it is the best selling high end premium phone. The 12 mini outsold all competitors flagships but is considered a flop as it does not meet the high Apple sales standard, if it was a Samsung, LG or some other cheap Android crap it would have been seen as a sales success for its price. :)
