Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 11 were top sellers in Q2 2021, iPhone 12 mini got the cold shoulder

I'm still going to pick the 12 mini anyway. It does feel totally refreshing to use something small and compact again. If Apple can increase the screen size from 5.4" to about 5.7", that would be sweet.

i have n70, n8, n9, lumia 1020 to name some of my nokia collections...
as for iphones, i never had one, but closest one on my shortlist before was iphone 8... se 2020 seems good too...

iPhone 11 is better. It has better battery life, has slimmer design, also a13 doesn't overheat since it doesn't go above 2.7Ghz compared to over clocked a14.
And on top of that comes with charger.
Apple really went downhill with iPhone 12.

Julian M, 16 Jul 2021Apple's LCDs are made by LG and Samsung.They are made by LG or Samsung, but they are made per Apple's specifications and are not off the shelf OEM parts. Almost everything in iPhones is done that way as Apple doesn't have its own manufacturing, but uses contractors for that. One may say A-Series Bionic chipsets are not Apple's because TSMC makes them, but the fact is, Apple designed it and TSMC just makes it for them. People use same fallacy for iPhone glass saying it's just "renamed Corning Victus". It's not. Apple ordered specific glass composition with specific properties from Corning and they made it for them and they call it "Ceramic Shield". It is NOT the same as Corning Victus even if basic principles and composition are very similar.

So much I basically only use it at 1/4 of slider at most. At half it's just too bright for indoor use and at max it's like having a reflector pointing at your face. Colors are also very vivid when needed. Only giveaway that it's LCD would be in blacks where it obviously can't perform as well. But still produces very nice blacks despite the fact it's LCD. And resolution, the one thing everyone made fun of as 720p (it's really far higher) is just so good you really need to pixel hunt at 3cm distance from display to spot fonts are slightly jaggy on edges and that WiFi icon signal lines are not perfectly smooth. At normal use distance of lets say 20cm it just doesn't matter.

At least given how everyone was parroting how 11 has sooooo much better battery than 12. Probably minor difference in real world use, but significant in tests where they just grind the CPU non stop. Something you rarely do in real use. I'd probably still pick 12. It has better chipset and flat display is easier to use screen protectors on. And flat design does look good. I always liked iPhone 4 looks.

The screens aren’t that different to look at except for really dark images
I think Apple’s LCDs are the best LCDs out there

I still prefer Android as much as I love my SE1 and 12 mini. I got a brand new Bold 9900 recently for only $5 from OfferUp and only my Androids can transfer data to it thanks to good old fashion Bluetooth transfer.
If say I go old school and start getting phones like the Nokia 6500 Slide, N8, N9, or a Windows Phone, only Android can transfer to then. Apple's walled garden truly is lame. They do run smooth though even after 5 years of updating the software.
