Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Exactly. It's just bad luck at times or some productio... moreWe do live, sadly enough, in a world where we all are BETA users regardless of what we spend at a device. So if the purchase price is not too high and there is some sort of customer care, most of the time you'll get a device that does what it's meant to do. And sometimes...well...bad luck. You'll lose your money and be very angry for it as to anyone of us, regardless of the financial means, it's really shitty.

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2021But $550 ? How do u justify that. Should have been around $... moreI said in another post or remark I think... Nokia, euh, HMD is not a big company meaning they don't have the means to sell dirt cheap devices with seamingly high specs. They can't or won't sell their products at very low price. Knowing that I'm fine with their asking prices. If I can't afford it straight away I'm willing to save some more money and wait a little longer before purchasing it. I just love these devices just because they are simple, well build and just do what they are meant to do. I have other devices that allows me to play a bit more when it comes to customise it such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei and even an iPhone.

An0n, 27 Jul 2021No, everyone does not "think" it is a light hardw... moreI get your point but I don't consider Nokia to be a premium brand. On the contrary, I'm glad they arend. And yes, they are a little more expensive than the dirt cheep other Chinese brands but Nokia being nothing more than a kind of startup company it make sense that it cannot be dirt cheap. I don't believe in the all for nothing that most customers want these days. I prefer the right stuff for the right price. All the rest is a matter of preferences. I do like ruggedized phones but that's my choice. I respect the choice of others who don't see any bebifit in such phones and don't want to pay the extra buck.

SShreyas, 27 Jul 2021You're talking about HMD? Like, seriously? Because I ... moreIt doesn't matter which brand you buy a phone from. You can always have bad unit or serie. I have 3 Nokia's (3.4, 5.4 and X20) and I use them intensely and trouble free. It's a question of luck and I prefer having bad luck with a not so expensive device than having this shit with for example an iPhone of around €1000... So yes, DUDE, HMD is ok to me

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Idk about you but all the Nokia phones I bought in the rece... moreOh yeah. Now you have shown your intellect level.
KIDDO, hand your phone back to your mom and continue watche Dora the Explorer. In the Kindergarten you'll learn that phones are a "non-living thing" and can't think or grow and lack emotions.
As far as my handling is concerned, if you can't just find a SINGLE scratch on the entire body of 6.1 Plus, I'll reward you with $1000. What say?
Apart from that:
1. My Nokia X6 from 2009 is my typical MP3 player for its side mounted speaker grille.
2. My Nokia 930, HTC Desire 816G and OnePlus One from 2014 are working till this date (though 930 is useless because of lack of Store)
3. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from 2012, too, is working as expected, if not, fine.
4. My Tab A from 2016 is also working fine.
4 super old devices, NO PROBLEM, NOTHING REPLACED (except battery, ofc)
The only phones that didn't lasted me were trashMD 6.1 Plus and HTC One M9+ (because that sh!t-Tek got fried up in 1.5 years)
Unlike you, Mr. Fanboy, my devices are meant to last, AT LEAST a decade with me. And I expect them to do so, too.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Well I understand your disappointment with the recent Nokia... more"but just dissing on the brand is what I find unfair *as literally every brand out there has had few production issues at some point*"
Yes, every brand has FEW production issue at SOME POINT only. And NONE of them charge hefty premium from you and provide cheap parts (remember eMMC on 8.3 5G?) and cheap manufacturing like charging port, motherboard, eMMC issues on one single phone (lol that's almost the entire list of internals in a phone).
So basically in a trashMD phone, the only "non-faulty" component is camera lenses (because in my case, every other component failed).
APPLAUSE

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Man you are in such trauma over one broken phone you owned ... moreFirst get your own basics cleared. "Nokia" is NOT HMD, HMD is not Nokia
The only job of HMD is to slap a "Nokia" logo on back of a phone manufactured in some factory of China (yes, HMD has not designed a SINGLE phone since 2018 and was the "most dependent" brand on ODM, i.e, 89%, IoT devices were the only exceptions)
Also,
1. I am not the only one with a sh¡tty HMD phone. MAJORITY is there
2. Mine was NOT the only model to suffer.
3. I didn't have single issue, just like most. Faulty port, faulty motherboard, faulty eMMC, laggy UI, and constant restarts were the only things "working" on mine and million other phones
When I liked the phone, I became an unpaid brand ambassador of trashMD of one full year, defending it against all brands. So definitely, after being cheated, I WILL hate to the core and will try my best to disrupt its audience.
BTW how would your grave would read? "B●●TLICKER of HMD"?

Sid, 28 Jul 2021In today's times, all the brands are only adding hardw... moreYou haven't experienced the "stock Android" of Nokia. It lags more than MIUI on a cheaper phone.
I never spent a day in 2.5 years when it didn't restarted while using Chrome with 3 tabs open. I don't even want to talk about clutters and jitters all over the UI.
Also, I never got the function to use my camera with the flash, oh, sorry, dual-tone flash. Because it was "flash not available" error ALWAYS.
You want stock Android? Go with Google if you can afford. If not, better go with Motorola.
OR
The best option is to buy Xiaomi, flash TWRP and any custom ROM. You'll be updated for all your life with stock Android. It only requires a bit of technical knowledge. That's it. You'll have the best hardware for the price with purest software out there.

hmm, 28 Jul 2021Who cares about the updates so much that that is the main r... moreIt's not that people want to switch phones. But these cheap quality components, being hold together by even cheaper quality of manufacturing, won't let your phone last more than 3 years.
Lol. 6 months of security patches were to be provided by Nokia. But, their motherboard got short circuited in between.
I learnt my lesson:
Never fall in useless things like updates. Rather go with a non-HMD phone having unlockable bootloader, flash a ROM and remain updated for your life
