The iPad air has only 64gb of ram and the price of the 256gb version it's just absurd for a tablet.
iPad are ridiculously expensive, the iPad pro which is what Xiaomi is trying to compete with costs as much as a laptop and that is just unacceptable.

Afterusing mipad 1 and mipad 4, i need to say its software experience is lousy with a lot of ads. Second, they will never ever update their tablet software at all. Thanks xiaomi, for making me decide to switch to ipad

Great spec for the price but 11" tablet.
But they try to advertise this as 11" semi-laptop which somehow didn't have MicroSD card and 3.5mm jack?
I'm in the market to find upgrade from my MiPad4, while 11" is a bit too big for my need the two things that they lack of killed my interest in this thing.
The same reason why i hold on to my ol MiPad 7.9 (gen 1) for quite sometime until MiPad4 came along. I need MicroSD slot expansion for my MediaCenter device.

They were copying phones earlier during redmi note 5 times. Now they've one of the best designs/setup in smartphone. If Xiaomi takes tablet market seriously; apple and Samsung will get history

Waiting for the review, I guess the 3 things which would make it standout would be the display, battery and software, once they get the flying colors. Its all done with ipad and S7 tab. A lot of people complaining about the price,but I think Xiaomi has now a leg room to increase it a little to make it more competitive, cmon for that price range closest thing you could get would be lenovo p11 which has the sd662 for the vanilla mi pad 5. You could get an ipad for additional 150.

It's just that well spec-ed Chrome OS devices are pretty expensive. Or Windows. Since Win 11 will support ARM much better, non-Apple tablets can succeed with that. I honestly don't see a reason for high spec android tablets when there are a lack of professional applications for it. Video cutting for instance is pretty bad with Android since there is just a very crippled version of Adobe Premiere.
