Overclocking doesn't increase the price of the chipset. Mediatek dimensity 1000/1100/1200 costs a lot less. 80-120USD.

Just because a manufacturer does or does not call it a flagship in market, doesnt mean the term is thrown around to explain the tier a product competes in. The word is interchangable with High end. Ever heard of a high end laptop? desktop? Yep... just about any system integrators website divides their tiers this way. The words are interchanable, youre arguing symantics here. You can describe a product as low end or budget, mid range or average... and you can describe the premium or best as high end of flagship. Silly goose.

Most people keeps their smartphone over 5 years because all mid to upper-range chip sets last that long. But if you want to believe tech marketing people and spend $1000-$2000 on a smartphone every other year go right ahead.
