You guys are interested in the Pixel 6 series, especially the Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 is the better buy over the Google Pixel 6 Pro. Why get an unreleased Exynos that's not even as powerful as a Snapdragon 888? But the problem with the 888 is the overheating.

If you want to future proof yourself more, always go for the one with the strongest GPU. We are getting pretty far with emulation the last few years. My phone with Snapdragon 820 can't play my favorite Dreamcast games smoothly as phones with 835 and above.

    Google, disorganized corporation. Too many bosses giving confusing orders !!!

          If you want to buy a cheaper 'premium' Android phone with various annoyances and almost no resale value... go ahead. Your money, your choice.

            I can tell many about your cheap china phone: poor calibration, glare on edges of curved screen, fragile because of curves, low colour uniformity across whole surface, low gamut (restricted to DCI-P3) , less resolution that advertised (they still count pixels that would exist where camera is)

                Only South Korea gets exynos 2200.

                  OP9 Pro is 300% better than 9R.

                  If you put SD888 inside Galaxy A72, it becomes better than K40 Pro, Iqoo7 and 9R.

                      Are you really that innocent enough to think a 6,7" FHD 120Hz used by a $450 phone is exactly same of a 6,7" FHD 120Hz used by $900? LOL, I feel sorry for you.

                      - UFS3.1 are not all same. Samsung Semicon is not only supplier. UFS3.1 from different supplier have different speeds. There are cheaper versions out there.

                      - Those 2, 5 and 8MP from omnivision (cheaper than samsung , sony) .

                      - Many phones that could have ddr5, using ddr4x.

                      Nobody is gonna sell for $450 a phone that costs $380-400 to be made.
                      Be sure these phones cost less than $300.

                      Even the crap iphone 12 has hardware that costs $350. This does not include anything else (manufacturing, software, marketing, taxes, etc)

                                    There aren't many cuts made, just the right amount.
                                    The top tier flagships aren't 200%-300% better than the budget flagships.
                                    The budget flagships have 80%-90% same things as a 1000$ flagship.

                                    You worry about inferior components like dim display used on Xperia flagship or the advertised 30W charging which heats up more than 65W-120W charging and is a lot slower than 25W charging... before commenting on quality of Chinese brands which have left brands like Sony into irrelevancy.

                                      Anonymous, 15 Aug 2021Just because some people value experience over sheer specs,... moreThe overall experience of stock Android used to be the most sought after thing on Android smartphones back in the day, as skins were heavier and the specs (CPU, ram, storage speed, etc.) weren't as fast enough to handle those heavy Android skins.

                                      In 2021, most of these skins have become lighter, and even the heaviest of the heaviest skins can function smoothly on a 200$ Android phones without breaking a sweat.
                                      So the real advantages of stock Android have diminished in the past few years.

                                      Plus....these companies have convinced certain consumers that...
                                      mid-range cpu + 3-4 yrs of updates > flagship cpu + 2yrs of updates.
                                      They continue to fall for such marketing.
