Xiaomi officially ditching the Mi branding for its premium phones

24 August 2021
From now on it will be either Xiaomi or Redmi.

so many people complaining about the name, while here in my country, nobody care about how it's spelled. Some say so-may, sho-mee, sio-mi .. and some even generalize and call all xiaomi product as redmi (which could create some serious misunderstanding .. but that's a lesson they have to learn themselves)

I bet it cost them few millions just like that """new""" logo xD

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2021You don't even understand the discussion. No, I don't understand that you all start screeching how plastic is the best shit ever the moment I mention plastic phone backs shouldn't be a thing on phones that cost almost 1000€. And it happens every single time I mention it. And here you are saying "you don't understand it". Suuuuuuure.

Poco is originally something akin to OnePlus. Budget Flagship.

Ideally Poco only have two product, the flagship and the top-end midranger.
