Leak suggests all four iPhone 13 models will go on sale on September 17

Last year Apple had to split the launch in two parts and it only happened in October/November. This year there should be no such delays.

Under-display camera implementation right now is absolute crap. In bright conditions, the lighting effect over the screen covering the camera right has this weird blurring effect that can be just as distracting(or sometimes more distracting) than a punch hole. Plus, the camera quality is very half-baked.

FaceID is simply superior to under-display fingerprints(except for the once-in-a-century COVID pandemic). You lift your phone up to face unlock, you life your phone up AND put your finger on the display for fingerprint unlock.

Periscope cameras are the only notable and functional "trend" set by androids in your list.

    Antutu works better on android phones than on iPhones, thus power decreases on android phones are also not comparable with power decreases on iPhones.

        Normal people do get excited about iPhones, even the android users.

        Those people would buy iPhones if they wanted to, but they buy android cuz it's cheap. Not trying to say that their poor, just saying that spec for price is only really a consideration in india, and even then, only like 50% of buyers actually follow that principle.

          120 hz and 5g. Both overrated IMO, but I'm in the minority and it's what people believe phones should have. Certainly premium phones. Can't argue with that. Apple is going to play into this, hype up these features and the 13 will sell very well.

          My only interest is to see how well the battery holds up with the 120hz refresh rate. Despite what people have said, Apple made 120hz a thing when they put it on their tablet. Razr introduced it on the 1st phone a couple of months later. So Apple was never absent on 120hz. They were just being mindful of the battery on their handsets. Everyone says "when apple does it, they do it right". Okay, let's see.

It was nothing like anyone has seen before and suddenly everyone did it because iPhone had it. Hate it or like it. Trend set was removal of headphone jack port and big push of TWS earphones. Apple did it and everyone copied it. And still do. Removal of charger was also a trend set. Everyone slowly copying it. Just giving phones progressively better hardware is not trend setting. That happens either way. Doesn't mean every trend set is a good thing though. Headphone jack and charger were certainly stupid. Notch, as much as people hate on it, it's extension of display, not an intrusion. Signal and battery status is tucked in the notch "horns" instead of eating away my actual rectangular display part. But people always call it intrusion for some reason... Punch hole or pill punch hole are intrusions, because they are in the visual part. Notch horns aren't. But people don't care when they need to hate on something and it's usually Apple to hate on. Coz you're the cool kid if you're pissing on Apple.

                      Also android phones are trend setters as well, for example features like fast charging, 120hz screen, periscope zoom, under display camera/fingerprint sensor.

                        [deleted post]That's still not declared as final. They have plans, but it's unknown whether they'll really go through with it. Throwing around PRISM as some sort of gotcha is funny given Google is also participating in it (not by choice just like Apple) and what do all your phones have? Gapps. Yeah, even if your phone is Chinese, it still runs Gapps. So much for privacy eh?

Why people need to know what model they are using? Normal people don't do anything with that knowledge and they just don't care or are Interested.
