Exynos 2200 completes first Geekbench run, features AMD GPU with an open-source driver

13 September 2021
Not that Geekbench tests the GPU, but it is an interesting detail. Also, this test seems to have been run with power saving mode on.

My exynos 2100: singlecore 1100, multicore 3500

It's funny how before India used to get the problematic Exynos Chipsets but now will (rumoured) get the less powerful (again, rumored) Snapdragan SoC.

Leave it to Samsung to undermine India as a market. I get that it's a business but that doesn't mean they can keep pushing out less powerful phones for the same if not more expensive (import tax) price

I'm definitely interested in that AMD GPU, but I'm not anticipating anything until I see how well it performs under sustained throttling performance. I'm also curious about its thermal management system.

Can't believe I'm saying this but: impressive, finally a GPU with an integrated CPU !!;)

Performance seems a bit weird on the 898. It's only clocked 0.17GHz (170MHz) slower, yet it gets around 300 points less on single-core?

I will just wait

I doubt that Samsung will ever beat anyone with their crappy Exynos chips. They just can't figure it out.

absolute shamesung garbage, classic.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2021The "Tensor" chip is an unreleased Exynos chip. I... more? But it has dual Cortex-X1. Only Exynos 2100 and newer ones has Cortex-X1 chip isn't it?

Galaxy s7 in the US was launched with SD 820 not Exynos.

1200 and 3700 this is the maximum performance that can be extracted from SD888+.

I hope the finished product does atleast 1400 and 4200.

I like power but i would prefer an SoC that's more power efficient and "smarter" like the Tensor chip although we've yet to see how smart it is.

This doesn't make sense. This is using ARMv8 cores, which means Exynos 2200 will use Cortex X1 again. Cortex X2 is ARMv9.
