Tbh, I have never been able to even slightly differentiate the smoother scrolling effect when doing a side-by-side comparison. That is why I keep my phone at 60Hz all the time and only use 120Hz for gaming.

Barry Egan, 03 Oct 2021other half is iphone usersI'm a flagship Android user and I don't really care much about HRR. I only care about it for mobile gaming, that's it.

It only supports 60Hz. It makes me wonder why Xiaomi would put a 120Hz screen on the RN10 Pro despite the chipset limitation in the first place.

I'd much prefer to see the smoother transition effect when gaming, not when scrolling the phone while using social media apps or browsers. I don't scroll the phone all the time, especially when I connect my phone to an external monitor.

However Samsung’s HRR, even the A52, is a lot smoother.

Funny that, my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (Snapdragon) can get up to 2 or 2.5 hours of extra SOT when using 60Hz only. At one point when I don't do any occasional mobile gaming, I get extra 3 hours.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2021I will pick smooth screen and high speed over battery life.... more120hz doesn't even use that much battery as Apple users claim(who aren't really used to using 120hz in the first place).

Just look at some phone reviews on this site where they test in in both 60hz and 90/120hz.

It's really only an issue with phones that have worse battery life like the iPhones.

I will pick smooth screen and high speed over battery life. You always need to charge your phone anyway.

For someone like me who always play mobile games and console emulation, it is a joy to have HRR. But for the rest of the time when I don't do mobile gaming, I only use 60Hz for longer battery life.

He even went as far as saying it's very smooth and that over 60 FPS is something you won't notice (he has no 120 or 144 Hz gaming experience, though) and is unnecessary. I'm the complete opposite, 60 FPS feels very slow after being used to 144 FPS gaming for years on PC.

The human eye can't see beyond 60hz and only Apple is brave enough to put 60hz on the latest iPhone because they know people don't see the difference.

I just bought the iPhone 12 for 700$ equivalent in my country during a sale and it's so smooth you guys. The battery endurance is only around 80h from this site but it lasts longer Samsung A50s that I have with 5000mah😂🤣

Those who don't care about low refresh rate are clearly using 60hz screens, I thought it useless too unless I updated my phone to 120hz and pc to 144hz, now I notice the drop in refresh rate the moment it happens, the moment I use a 60hz screen I just notice a difference
