Weekly poll results: a high refresh rate screen is a must for nearly half of users

And most people say that they have felt the benefit of a high touch sampling rate.

I remember arguing with my console gamer friends round the PS4/Xbox One release wether or not the human eye can even see above 30fps which as a PC gamer I knew better (yes). Now most people want 120Hz.. how the turntables 🤣

    What a jitterless screen-to-eye ratio! Hahaha!🤣😂

After almost 1.5 years of experiencing premium high refresh rate experience, I ain't ever downgrading to 60hz again.

Used to get 8.5-9hr SOT on my OP8 pro with my regular usage.
I get around 7.5-8hr SOT on Mi 11 Ultra. The Snapdragon 888 is probably the culprit for slightly lesser SOT.
60hz hardly gives you 20 minutes more SOT, which is negligible compared to the premium experience offered by switching to 120hz.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2021This is just for tech heads. The average joe, which is like... moreWell most of the "averages joes" and "I know mobile phones" think that OLED = magically better than LCD with no drawbacks.
I would say it not only depends on casual vs. "tech head", but the level of knowing what you are talking about (aka not just Wikipedia knowledge and bigger = better) and knowing your own priorities (aka what would you do on your Apple M1X equipped phones ... Facebook and Instagram ... good idea :-D ).

until now i use 60 Hz in my Mi 10 U, even there is an option for 120hz.
Because im not typical person like to smooth scrolling in instagram, and dont care about high visual settings when playing online games.

This is just for tech heads. The average joe, which is like 80-90% of the demographic for smartphones in general, don't care and don't know what the difference is. Same goes for LCD vs OLED. Many people don't even know they are different or that there are multiple screen technologies, especially on their phones.

I bought for my child an Xiaomi RN 10 pro with 120 Hz refresh rate. Either the Xiaomi UI is slow as hell and the 120 Hz just makes it normal or I am not seeing any difference between that phone and my Samsung Note 20.

it is only about two months ago i got 120hz and high touch sampling rate, it is quite jarring at first. the display follows the tiniest touch movements and is immediate. i got used to it in a day or two. The older phone with 60Hz is just beside it on my table. The 60Hz feels there is something wrong it like you are running a game at a low fps because the hardware can't handle it😀

When I got my 120hz phone, honestly, its impossible for me to go back to 60hz...60hz feels slowish lmao

But ofcouse, you can lock it back to 60hz to save on Battery life.

I have had 2 different 120Hz phones and it's significantly overrated IMO. I notice it, but only in some very niche situations. It doesn't have any significant impact on the way I actually use my phone.
