No apple macbook can do this.
Their cooling system is good only for maybe Youtube videos and thats it.
It barely runs minesweeper, donkey kong, pacman or space invaders.

That's if and ONLY if higher multi-core CPU performance is the absolute necessity for your workload and you're willing to sacrifice every other hardware spec. You won't find a Ryzen-H-series powered laptop in similar a price range to that of MBA/MBP once you start looking for faster graphics, a longer battery life, or a better quality display/keyboard/trackpad/speaker/webcam.
Also, don't even bother bringing up this stupid "But my custom PC cost a lot less than Macbook Pro!" argument next time, because the same logic applies for all similarly spec'd Windows laptops on the market as well.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2021You can build a desktop for a lower price with much better ... moreSo, you're comparing a 8 core M1 (which is 4H+4L hybrid) to a 5900HX with 8 high performance, hyperthreaded cores. I'm an AMD fan as much as you want and even I admit M1's superiority. Especially when you take battery endurance into consideration where M1 just destroyes everything. It performs so great thanks to deep integration of CPU cores, RAM and SSD with dedicated OS on top. Not even AMD can achieve this and it's questionable if Intel's new Alder Lake hybrids can achieve with Windows 11. Would be cool, but unlikely.

Just look up cinebench and even geekbench results. Not even talking about the cpubenchmark.net results (M1 15k points vs 5900HX 23k points). Comparing with older CPUs, especially Intel ones, is just a cheap move only apple (and its blinded fanboys) would do.. But well, if you are after low ram or non-poweruser singlecore performance and efficiency, the M1 is a very good choice. But please, just keep it real folks and don't fall for this manic, blind apple cultism. They're nothing special.
