The biggest new feature is that the camera now has a color temperature slider!!! That's awesome!!
But what's really not nice:
-Neither 50 megapixel nor 48 megapixel mode according to reviewers and it's likely that they don't leverage the high resolution mode because the maximum zoom setting is just 5x digital zoom in relationship to the periscope camera
-In low-light conditions the Pixel 6 allegedly refuses to use the periscope camera sometimes.
-portrait mode still uses a 1.5x crop
-Apparently, one can still not adjust the intensity of the portrait mode blur before taking a photo.
-Apparently, you can't choose the periscope camera in portrait mode.
-no portrait mode video
-motion mode would be great, if it could simulate a traditional long exposure, but apparently, machine learning decides what it wants to keep sharp, so parts of a waterfall can be blurry while other parts of the waterfall are sharp, that's not so great
-apparently, Night Sight still has no exposure time slider, HDR+ enhanced isn't mentioned

Good, from OLED to AMOLED, GG6 to Victus, mid range cpu to high end and $100 cheaper than pixel 5 launch price. Expect global prices to stay the same more or less.

Appare... moreJust looked at the sample images again and now I think that the portrait mode images are just 1.5x crops from the 12.5 megapixel sensor mode. They are just oversharpened and they benefit that there is less noise due to the new hardware.

It can be the greatest phone in the world, but it still won't be a major success.

Although the pixel 6 pro reminds me of my nexus 6p, no way I am downgrading to stock Android ever again. Love my Mi 11 Ultra. Miui 12.5 enhanced edition feels like 5 years ahead of the pixel's boring stock Android experience.

$899 puts the Pixel 6 Pro around the same league as the Samsung Galaxy S21 and the Sony Xperia 5 Mk3, and they all have their own advantages. Yes, both the Galaxy and the Xperia are $100 more expensive than the Pixel, but Sony also use stock AOSP UI like the Pixel while manage to give the still-relevant microSD card support and headphone jack. However, the Galaxy S21 has a standalone Samsung DeX Desktop Mode support, which is great for pocket PC. Personally speaking, I'd love to see a flagship-grade smartphone with Pixel camera, Xperia hardware, and Galaxy pocket PC capability. That would be THE smartphone to kill all smartphones.
