Since telephones can take better pictures than cameras, nowadays, even at night, the cameras are used mostly for video, and video at night! There is one thing telephones cameras can never do - video at night, no matter the computational photography tricks! That's why the Sony A7 is popular because it takes good videos at night! No wonder, they improve the video features! Nobody cares about the rest!

A single raw file these days have ridiculous amount of flexibility and recoverable shadows that all you have to do is expose for the highlights. What that guy did was obviously a user error.

This is an entry-level full-frame offering from Sony. Not the typical entry-level camera.
You can get Sony A6100 or ZV-E10 which is the best you can get in that price range, Way better than Nikon or Canon's offering.
For the price, this camera is being sold. There is nothing quite like this. No, cameras from Nikon or Canon can compete against this.

So low quality or High quality it doesnt matter the durability is likely same.
Chinese porcelain from Ching or Ming dynasty cost many thousdant euros and yet its durability is equal to a glass bought from tesco or pawm shop for 1 euro.
Your statement makes no sense.
Something like a Quality plastic doesnt exist.
Please fix what you saying before you saying,
Xiaomi as you said is low plastic and yet the Mi 11 Ultra is best camera phone money can buy.

A7iv is $2500 in USA, just like Canon R6 (20MP FSI sensor).
Your dear xiaomi would charge $5000 for same camera in poor countries.

I'm still daily driving my Lumia 950 today and I'm still amazed by the camera's true-to-life realistic colour and detail. It's only in lowlight conditions and digital zoom where the rivals have moved up the gear. But then again, there's no such thing as Night Mode and native telephoto camera during those days, so that is understandable.
