          Variable aperture! Finally!!!
This looks and sound like a great device.
No sub-12Mp sensors, flat display, no hope/notch horror, 3.5mm Jack, except the battery who may be a slightly too small capacity, this phone is perfect!
I won't look at the comments this time, but I am sure that there is a LOT of hate from people who won't ever consider buying it.

Anyway, was getting a pixel but this seem it will do wonders on videos. Hmmmm

Too bad the Mi 11 Ultra has been so hard to get here (Norway). Only available for a short while, and then gone :/
I'm hoping the 12 Ultra will have better availability, as well as no curves on the screen and a as minimal or no punch hole at all..

"images with a 2.4µm pixel pitch - that's some 20% larger than the iPhone 13 Pro Max' pixels"

More like 60% larger. Keep in mind that pixels are squares.

This is also why a 2.4µm pixel is not twice the size of a 1.2µm one, but four times the size.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2021And when you shoot faux 24mm with R6 what is that you get a... moreThe difference is that one allows you to shoot photos using the full ADVERTISED sensor area, the other (from what I could tell) doesn't.

"Sharp went with 19mm to utilize as much of a sensor it could while Sony never does that even on RX100 cameras which start at 24mm if I'm not mistaken"
Sorry if I'm misinterpreting what you're saying, but just in case you don't know, Xperia Pro-I uses only 60% of the entire sensor area at 24mm crop, which is exactly the same as the behavior seen on Aquos R6. On the other hand, RX100 V has 1 inch sensor behind a 24mm equivalent lens (at the widest end), so there's no crop involved here.

sorry, not impressed. the phone itself is waaay to big an again sorry, a 12mp main sensor only makes for nothing impressive or interesting, had it been a 50mp+ maybe i would have been mildly interested, especially for what it could have captured in full size raw.

Mind you, too, that both Aquos R6 and Leitz Phone 1 allow you to shoot in full 20MP resolution at 19mm equivalent field of view. I don't think Xperia Pro-I does given all the samples I've seen are only 12MP in resolution.

The colour saturation on Mi is also pretty much on point as far as I could tell from samples, so there's that.

The 1" sensor mantra is a lie. They are using only 12 out of 20MP or 60% of the useful area, so it's a 1/1.67 inch sensor.
