EMUI 12 has nothing special, I got the update yesterday on my Mate 10 (daily update suggestions!) there is no special feature just some animation improvement (for some people) infinite scroll on the home screen and the one-hand zoom in the gallery is gone, video player is a little bit better, you can't fully customize your control panel or use it like emui10 (control panel + notification panel)

totally, in my opinion, emui 10 was a very good UI, if Huawei had the option to disable the update notification I would have continued using Emui 10

I got emui 12 on my huawei nova 10 we (BNE-LX1)
And it is very nice but now i cant have google apps so yeah

Has anyone gotten emui 12 or any updates for the Huawei mate 20 pro , Canada model ? Model lya-loc I'm in the US . Guessing it won't relieve emui 12 cause of the ban but it says all models of mate 20 pro but no word for North America. Little insight or direct answers would be appreciated

Update on my broken P30 Pro. The repair guys were unable to determine if the software was at fault, but it appears that it was the display that was faulty, not the actual software. Still, that does mean that my phone's screen broke 18 months after I bought it.

Hasnain , 06 Apr 2022Same Question Hey Huawei P Smart 2021 users! Here is good news for you, Huawei has officially announced the EMUI 12 eligibility for P Smart 2021 smartphone in the global market. Now, the corresponding device owners can enjoy the new EMUI 12 features inspired by HarmonyOS.
Currently, Huawei has not revealed any information related to EMUI 12 beta and stable rollout but it will happen soon. Other than this smartphone, more models from the Huawei P Smart series have started testing the EMUI 12 features through beta activity.
To be mentioned, Huawei EMUI 12 beta for the P Smart series is available in selected overseas markets and will expand soon to more regions. Until then, you can keep eye on the join beta program section in EMUI 12 beta app.
We recommend Huawei P Smart 2021 users download and install the EMUI 12 beta app for the available projects. Once the company starts EMUI 12 beta for you, the beta project appeared in that section in the EMUI beta app.

I just got the EMUI 12 update on my P30 Pro, but it has only developed faults.
The new navigation and icons look great. The zoom toggle has switched positions, making it oh so easier to zoom.
However, two things has happened that's made me quite upset. Number one, standby battery drain has gotten much worse. This confuses me, as the direct usage drain has improved.
But, there's a bigger problem. Something about the update seems to conflict with the screen, because the screen is....going crazy. Typing this on my phone, there's black lines going across my screen, and the area right of the notch has pretty much died. I can't see the time or battery levels anymore. It gets crazier when I turn the phone off. It flashes violently when it does. It's evidently something about the flicker, because the entire screen gets affected when I turn off anti-flicker mode. Oh, also, on a sidenote, the AOD is dead now.
This update needs patching. I like the improvements, but I hate the bugs, because my phone is crippled at the moment.
