[deleted post]I thought your ID was LkB/8Kf? Why are you posting exactly the same comment using different IPs? Well I guess that's you being you, so anyway, let's break down some of your points one by one.
2) Mi 11 Ultra has a manual mode for video.
3) On top of HDR10+, the user can opt to shoot in HDR10 or LOG format on Mi 11 Ultra. Also, despite being recorded in HLG format, isn't HDR video on Xperia unsuitable for SDR playback due to lack of colour grading?
4) Decent quality 8K video is potentially useful if you're cropping the video in post or producing a higher quality 4K video through downsampling. On the other hand, 4K120fps gives out a "cinematic feeling" if you slow it down to 0.2x 24fps footage. Both of them are useful in their own respective ways, though I believe very few people will even try doing such kind of stuff on a phone camera.
7) The said feature is already in the beta firmware so it will be coming soon.. With that said, it definitely could've arrived earlier.
"Xiaomi promises 80% after 2 years. Sony promises near 100% after 3."
As I keep saying, those numbers mean absolutely nothing when there is no real-life report backing them up - take them with a grain of salt. Moreover, users can choose not to fast charge the battery if they are heavily concerned about the battery longevity.

It would have made sense if it was actually ahead of competition, but in reality the photos are on par with other flagships and video isn't as good as on iphone 13 pro max.
The 'professional' in this case really only means having a lot of control which is just not enough to justify the price.

No. Your polls just usually lack the right options.
People don't mind professional phones. The problem is that these xperia devices are just extremely over priced with zero justification. Especially when they cut corners in so many areas and lack in ways years compared to other devices.
The cut corners in parts, releasing, advertising, and availability. Yet charge hundreds more than others that spend more in all those areas and are ahead in numerous ways.
And until hopefully this one singular device the camera is behind. And even now it's not gonna have much edge.
Thats the issue

It's way too expensive for what you're getting. It should costly max 1000 usd maybe even 800 usd would be enough. Somy is always extremely overpriced.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2021Former Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra user here. I don't know why ... moreYou never owned the MI 11 Ultra. I know your post history bashing Chinese brands in every article in favor of your favorite Sony. My mirroless camera is collecting dust since the past 2 years. Mi 11 Ultra is the closest thing you can get to a mirroless/Dslr on a smartphone.

AnonD-731363, 07 Nov 2021Weekly poll results: the Sony Xperia Pro-I is well received... moreFormer Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra user here. I don't know why everyone overhyped that phone, the camera quality is definitely not DSLR-like. It can compete against Google Pixel, but that's about it.
If you really think putting a microSD card slot and a headphone jack is "playin robbery on a customer", that should go to smartphones that doesn't have either of those. They clearly do that to grab more money from you. Let's not forget another smartphone with 1" sensor in the shape of Sharp Aquos R6 - that cost almost the same as this Sony (minus shipping and tax cost) and it doesn't even have an ultrawide and a telephoto camera.

AnonD-731363, 07 Nov 2021Weekly poll results: the Sony Xperia Pro-I is well received... more1) xiaomi was announced for way more than 1000 dollars outside China.
2) you do not have controls for video nor audio. Only manual mode for photos.
3) xiaomi uses HDR10+. This does not have any flexbility for edition like HLG. Also HLG does not require HDR10/Dolby screen for proper playback.
4) instead of 4K@120, xiaomi chose to offer 8K . Which not even 0,000000001% of computers have power enough to handle.
5) Your dear €1100 xiaomi uses ancient usb C 2.0, just like $90 phones. It has 1/25 of the speed provided by USB3.2. You also cant use usb to hdmi unless you have usb 3.0/3.1/3.2/4.0
6) microphones do not have wind filter.
7) you cant film yourself while looking at the screen. Front cam quality is no near rear camera.
No, you cannot do same with xiaomi.
Xiaomi has other priorities like iOS wannabe UI and charging speed to make money by replacing batteries damaged by 120W.
** Xiaomi promises 80% after 2 years. Sony promises near 100% after 3.
Losing 400-500mAh / year is huge failure.

Apple does not even unlock phones when justice demands.
FBI needs to do it themselves.
