Nice bait there since Mi 11 Ultra is a 2021 phone.

"Mi 11 Ultra is the closest thing you can get to a mirroless/Dslr on a smartphone."
Tell that to the zoom quality. Even my old Samsung Galaxy K zoom can still produce way better zoom quality than it.

What it means is that there is no need for you to get fully tied with Google, even though they own it. You don't see custom Android ROMs have Google services installed in them. Also, some custom ROMs support Signature Spoofing, which means that you can use microG* on them. microG is the open-source alternative to Google Mobile Services that doesn't send its data to Google servers.

Since the Xperia Pro-I only uses like 60% of the sensor, wouldn't it just make more sense to have installed a much smaller sensor, which would allow way more ease of movement, with OIS and, presumably, therefore, better (/more stops of) stabilization. I am guessing the smaller sensor would also allow for faster readout (comparatively, along with lesser rolling shutter etc). Also, a good smartphone would probably use 2 of these sensors, as the main and extra wide perhaps. And the zooms could use larger pixel sensor as well, since larger glass and larger pixels could help with sharper detail. Though low light is usually best with HDR.

If you buy it from Sharp's Cocoro Store*, it actually $150 more than the Xperia 1 iii. Also it still won't beat the 13 Pro Max in photo quality.

With all that in mind I think the phone shouldn't cost anymore than 1000 usd top.
