For 720 you get only the 8/256GB mi11ultra version. Not to mention it is gonna be a shaddy import.

this poll confirms what pro is for, at least as per sony, though, quite few participated, am i right? only 8k people?
besides, pro og and pro i are on different category...
xperia 1, 5, and 10 are more on the general public...
and since 1, 5, and 10 are quite low on production as there are only few units from where i import my gadgets from, i expect pro i to be more scarce...
hopefully, owners will take care of it, so i can buy a used one next year... ha ha... but i really want the vlogging package, not only the phone...

You are either capping so hard, or you're absolutely horrendous at taking good photos. I guess when you can't use a camera, you'd want to resort to a smartphone. If you think a phone is close to a mirrorless or DSLR in any sense, then you're delusional.

sony xperia pro i has set the bar higher for large sensor mobile camera flagship phones, i can see samsung note 22 ultra, oppo find 4x, xiaomi ultra 12 pro competing with sony during 2nd or 3rd quarter 2022 with similar 1" sensor flagships as well, iphone 17 max pro probably get a 1" sensor around 2026 based on their past record.
I wonder if sony will consider other pro line xperias, maybe xperia pro a with audiophile grade dac and 4.4mm balanced output in late 2022, or even xperia pro g for gaming as sucessor to playstation vita and competitor to next generation switch 2 and portable steam deck by 2023

Sony doesn't have a 1/1.33 inch QB/Bayer sensor, and obviously Samsung-made one wouldn't be an option for the main camera.

1). Video editing software has an option to reduce the playback resolution for smoother preview
2). Downsampling is nowhere near as CPU/GPU intensive as applying filters and colour grading in real-time

Therefore Sony can potentially sell their new one inch sensor to other OEMs next year to keep up with the hype.
Sony also was able to keep the camera bump smaller this way and allow for larger pixels, although this would only be valid if the 12MP were over the entire sensor, otherwise there's no real benefit. They also seem to price it in a way so it doesn't compete with their RX100 series of compact cameras.

I see people asking for a Pro-A.
With some hardware from Walkman.
1) never gonna happen
2) also, phone would cost more than the other Pro, there are few models of Walkman that cost more than their cellphones.

Everything in Pro-I specification is superb and it has those little flavors :) (like Sony Apps UI)
