It's still going to create the exact amount of heat , the cooler being more efficient only makes it go away faster. Although, it can prolong the life of the processor by running cooler. Heat will eventually breakdown the processor over . Over a long span of time it won't let the battery life grow worse. That's a definite plus.

OS inefficient..
So make the chip goes faster..
But the chip gets hotter..
So make a cooling tech..
Then the chip drains more battery because it has to run faster..
So make bigger battery..
But it make the phone looks like a brick..
So make the display bigger as an excuse..
But the display and components also battery hungry..
So no choice small charger cannot charge faster then the battery drain..
So get 20W 50W chargers..
But fast charge reduce battery capacity in the long run..
endless issues 2 resolve, brought by inefficient OS and lousy cpu / gpu.

Gaming just an example but if it can perform well with gaming, then general tasks will be breeze ... Heat management is one of the key to maintained battery life efficiency .. Plus 120w / 200w should works as intended to hit their target time.

There's a ton of games on pc/consoles. You can have a pc at half the cost of flagship gaming phone and still have a good gaming experience both in the performance and the game itself (just search for AAA tiltles and you will be satisfied. They're is no games on mobile platform that can match even the 10 year old pc/console game).
But, people buying smartphones primarily for gaming are either unaware of the pc/console games portfolio or are very addictive to those selective phone games.
Mobile gaming is good but it is spoiled by the greed of the developers and younger generation is not aware about what actual game look and feels like. Hope steam deck can improve this scenario.

A few gta titles, pubg mobile, COD mobile, real racing 3, free fire, genshin impact, fortnite, are some of the games on mobile. More to come as mobile processors get better and faster and support better graphics and frame rates

Mi 11 with ample vapor chamber and some thermal paste has almost 40c idle temperature, and can get up to 50c in demanding games. I heard even a Realme GT Neo 2 performs just as well and runs a bit cooler.
So many factors play here, from UI, PCB design, etc.
