... moreYou're saying that, but do you remember Apple slowing down their devices with OS updates to force people to but new iPhone or at least to replace a battery? They're same bad, but overpriced.
And Xiaomi is a bad example of Android device. Too much hassle to make their phones fine for average consumer (like debloating, unlocking bootloader etc.). However likes of Oppo, OnePlus or even Realme are perfectly fine. And they're actually repairable without paying premium again.

Updates don't last long, major OS updates take forever to arrive to individual devices, when updates are released they are done through stupid seeding which takes weeks in most cases and I just don't want to ever deal with any of that after dealing with them for almost a decade. Apple may do stupid things, but with this they are simply unmatched by any other phone maker, not even Google with their Pixel phones. And for that alone I'd pick iPhone again almost in a heartbeat. And there are other benefits with OS, like working like it's freshly booted phone despite being 3 years old and never ever factory reset in all this time.
Besides, everyone makes so much fuss about repairing yet they demand absolute security and water proofness. That will inherently bring repairability issues. And who even fixes phones? In 20 years of using mobile phones, from dumb to smartphones and everything in between, I haven't put a single phone to service for a hardware failure. I had Samsung Wave just once for software issues because it had some weird service conflicts since it was imported from Germany and it didn't work right with my service provider for some reason. But other than that, they all worked until they just catastrophically failed many years down the line with many unspecified issues or they just got so old there was no point in using them. So, for me personally, repairability is the last thing I care. I also haven't smashed a single phone in these 20 years where I'd need replacing any glass part. Ever. So, if it didn't ever happen in 20 years, if it happens this moment I'm just say fuck it and just buy a new phone. But I don't think it'll happen because I'm not butterfingered idiot.

Apple does anti consumer stuff... but I don't see you mention many more other companies (not only smartphone manufacturers) doing the same or worse.

Not going to buy apple products again. Every year they keep making worst decisions. Since iphone 7 with the removal of headphone jack. File management is worst on ios and iPad or devices. Transferring files is a headache unless it's another Apple device. Now with 1tb storage and program video I wonder how people are transferring them.I don't understand why they do not put a % or number when downloading apps or transferring files from folder to folder. There is no way you can know the file size of individual folder in files app. Why is that?
I don't understand the genius minds logic behind removing charging adapter and other companies following them. Ultimately we as consumers are allowing them do this to us. If nobody agrees with them and voice their opinion they will change. Look at the ports situation on MacBook pros but that NOTCH..!!
Apple has a really good marketing team. Don't get sucked into the ecosystem. You can earn your money back but not your time. Make logical sensible decisions.

Apple is doing it in purpose as using parts that wont probably last long so you get it repaired and that get them more money. They do it with there cables also so they break and you buy new one's. They already made news like a year ago or so that they are moving on a cheaper materials to cut cost down to build phone and not the cost you need to pay for there devices.

There was a video of it where someone bought 2 new i14 pro and then took screen off to replace it and tried all types of ways changing what ever part and all give errors and some things didnt work.

Although the extent is still small. I would rather have components that are locked in my phone as long as they are still “modular”, for example if the screen breaks then the only component to replace is the screen.
