06 November 2021

You are just speculating that the battery is cheap just cuz you don’t like them.
Pixel pro battery is garbage! Literally trash. I can say that cuz i have one snd i used it. But i still won’t say its s cheaper battery, i except these brands to include good batteries.
Only cheap batteries we have seen are in Chinese manufactures.

In any event, only the Max Pro has decent battery life on an iPhone. But it's probably a cheap battery so you can't stress it with fast charging like with these Google phones.

nanagdad, 06 Nov 2021Cheaper batteries but charging exorbitant flagship prices 😕... moreI own Realme 7 Pro and the box come with brick charger. Literally the charger is big compare to my previous charger. But, I don't give a shit about fast charging. I'm happy use my charger with 4 USB ports and charge in slow speed. It took 4 hours to full charge my Realme 7 Pro with very very minimal heat and sometimes can't barely feel the heat on the battery side.

Some Chinese brands like Xiaomi need to take note

For example Mi 11T Pro advertised as 120W charging and yet charges at only 97W. If the phone charges at 110W at least no problem, as charging is not 100% efficient, but this is more like a marketing trick.

Cheaper batteries but charging exorbitant flagship prices 😕 BBK are battery kings. In 2021 $600 - $1000 plus charging for more than 1-2 hours is pathetic. Just buy an Oppo OnePlus or Realme phone & fully charge in 30 min 100% 😀

So basically 25 Watt charger is enough for pixel 6 .
Don't need to buy 30 watt one.

Shortly, I can use my old Note 10 Lite 25W charger and it'll work perfectly fine. Good enough for me :)

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2021So, because it doesn't charge at 5kW it must be cheap.... moreBetter quality bettery is heating less which means it won't degrade really fast, batteries degrade the most because of the heat. For example Samsung 25w charges the battery in 1 hour vs 2 hours on the Pixel while maintaining the same temperature.

Manufacturer should disclose both average and max charge speed because only based on one spec consumers can't make an informed decision

Well that explain why it took a bit longer that I expected it to charge.
Not a big step-up compared to 18W previous year :) not that I personally mind, but it's nice to know the real charging speed.

Or maybe they have it tuned to preserve battery health. Ever thought of that? Given they are now having 5 years of software support, it's aimed at longevity, not all out tech specs and big numbers you all so much adore here on GSMArena.
