Shouting "F*k Joe Biden" is just stupid.

GSMarena are biased Biden supporters. They've sent my last comment to be checked because it had Let's Go Br*ndon in it

This is what it's all about. Censorship of us, we don't think what we're told to by the establishment so we must be silenced

        Let's Go Brandon!

Now is a good time to start using a different video hosting site like Rumble, Odysee and Bitchute. Rumble and Odysee even have apps available on the app stores. Odysee one is called LBRY

I don't think this is a good idea, especially for the reasons YouTube is doing this. The dislike button can be abused? Yes. But that doesn't mean it can't be used for tell the content creators and users alike that the content presented is bad or poorly made.

Android.Authority, 11 Nov 2021There is no real democracy, just an illusion of living in one... Strange.. Last time I checked I could freely walk out the street, go shopping, travel outside the country, visit other continents, actually having money to buy actual things like food or clothes or tvs or phones.. Or owning land, cars etc.
            Where do you live? Chna?!

Some times dislike button acts as a polls on certain topics and not directing at the creator eg. Product reviews and news on certain measures reported and viewers will opt dislike about the matter if they don't agree, esp when there is no time to scroll comments, this serve as a very good platform for other viewers to know what is the general views on the matter.

[deleted post]So you want people to not have any discussion about things?
Because you disagree with it doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to say their opinion. 🙄

In times of Caesar they used already thumbs up, down or as undecided. They still miss the 3rd. As for numbers, it's nothing compared to comments lol.

A huge relief to Narendra Modi, long live crony capitalism

What's wrong with YT anyway? They have gone into pure s*it now

Now people wont know if the video is a scam or not.. such a great idea

                            Let's go Brandon.

This makes one even more certain, that the elections were not rigged.

How about this, they can hide dislikes but add a reputation system to a channel...

I see some people recommending posting something like 'thumbs down' or 'dislike' in the comment section of videos that they would normally hit the dislike button on, but think about this from the YouTube algorithm prospective. You would have watched the video (even if partially), and commented on it, that would generate more engagement with a video you dislike and possibly end up benefiting that creator more than anything.

Seems to me that this change is designed to reward crappy videos from scummy content creators.

How about this, they can keep the dislikes hidden from viewers, but after a certain amount of dislikes on that video, it will automatically be visible to the public. Maybe also add subscriber count, Like/dislike ratio, and views number into consideration.

For example, Channel A has 1M subscriber. They uploaded video B that has 500K views & 10K likes. The dislikes count will stay hidden. But, after it reaches 50K dislikes, the video dislikes count will automatically be visible.
