Does it have the support for 120W or 150W charging like Qualcomm? Heck no! Sh#t Mediatek

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2021What is source code? And why release it? What's the purpose?Basically it make your phone after EOL from Manufacture have more Life by getting the latest Android OS available via Custom Roms. Heck even 2013 or older Samsung Galaxy phones or Sony phones with Qualcomm SoCs can get the Android 11 or even 12 with LineageOS. Goodluck with Mediatek getting that support after its EOL.

It looks great in most areas, but I wish GPU contained a higher number of shader cores (14-16) instead of 10. For achieving the same performance, more cores clocked lower will fare almost always better than fewer cores clocked higher when it comes to power efficiency.

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2021What is source code? And why release it? What's the purpose? It lets developers know how the SoC works like how other manufacturers releases drivers on windows. Though they can restrict some proprietary stuff. Thats the reason why Qualcomm has more custom rom availability compared to MediaTek.

Now I'm curious why is the name exactly like the Huawei Kirin 9000. Is there something magical or special about this 9000. Just weird, not like it could even beat a Snapgragon 888+ let alone the upcoming Snapdragon 898. Lol.

It's up to the manufacturer to release the kernel sources together with the proprietary blobs so developers can start work on custom roms. Now that OnePlus and Xiaomi are releasing MediaTek phones, you can expect a lot more developer support for MediaTek phones.
