Lightroom never consumed more than 6GB of RAM when I applied the same heavy color grading, tone mapping and custom filters on all of them and exported them sequentially. If you have 32GB of RAM, then that for sure won't be a bottleneck in this test.

It has amazing battery life because of small core which play youtube and other small task, this Help a lot to boost battery life, wait for alder lake which also has efficiency cores to get comparable results.
And M1 max in many Task it struggle against rtx 3060 so no need to keep argument that there are many variants of 3080.

Claiming the M16 has better performance when the M1 Max is crippled by Rosetta and emulator w/o Metal support is very bias. Such results are only accepted by apple haters blinded by hatred, can't see for themselves the things for what they are.
How about LT boot the M16 in safe mode and run those tests again? Fair? Acceptable? Why not, if crippling the mac is considered acceptable? And the SD chip runs a ARM version of windows. No complains over x86 emulator apps here?
And the M16 is not even consider cheap!

I have mentioned many times in this discussion there're many variants of the 3080, companies are no longer branding it as such but the usual 3080 naming. Can you understand this simple English and get this into your head! Apple is not bias and likely using a Max-Q version, at most described as half truth.
Temp and battery life of the M16 were never mentioned. Wattage too. The 3060 alone is already 80W, the i9 is another 45W.
Your last para is even a bigger BS. Consumer don't care for native codes?? No better excuse for such a nonsensical video tests that's so out of whack?? You are smoking illegal stuffs too much! Consumers who bought the M1 macs all are waiting for native codes!! Why?? Becos they saw how much better their laptop performs from those apps already running native!! It's simple!!

That M16 has more perfomance than M1 max not equal, if you look for cheaper models you may get something with equal perfomance and cost less.
And consumer want things to work, they dont care if it run on rosetta or native, if you pay $3500 for laptop you expect it work its simple.

Price for M16 at Amazon is about USD 2400 incl shipping. MBP 14" M1 Max about USD3300. And you said same or batter performance for half the price of the mac??

The lowest end one is on par with M1 Max in performance. Nothing to glorify apple laptop, it is what it is. And hi end laptop cost a lot more. Nobody sells you good stuffs for the cheap. If you read my first post onwards, you'll know I didn't say M1 Max is the best out there. I'll say it again, laptops that can compete or better are in the high price bracket.
You want a 60W laptop that can give you very high performance? RTX3080 and Intel Tiger Lake or new upcoming Alder Lake won't match that power envelop. RTX3080 mobile chip alone sucks more than 60W. High performance laptops don't come cheap over windows side of things.

Much more efficient but much slower.
