Arr! iPhone 3G, for what???? just current iPhone + 3G + GPS + &%#^@
For my opinion, I will not buy it to use as a Phone but I will buy it as multimedia player bcoz price is just $199 for 8GB.
Actually, I am not a iPhone fan but I really interested and expected in new iPhone 3G what kind of new features will be added. But now, I am so disappointing on iPhone 3G. I will go to HTC touch PRO.

I was going to live with the fact that there is no front camera for video calls, no A2DP, and that the back is cheap glossy plastic (fingerprinet magnet, although the fact that it enchanhes reception makes it actually a good thing). GPS is nice, and 3G is a must, boosted sound quality also appeals to me.
The thing that worries me most is that they will offer 3g Iphone with 2 year subscription plan only and only in-store activation of the phone will be available. No unlocked phone, no change of sims, why would you improve software to attract business users then Apple? I would rather pray premium and get ''clean'' device.

OK, I work for O2 in the UK and I would like to pass comment on a few things...
No 3g calling camera - Who the hell video calls anyway ? about 0.01% of customers I would guess... "3G technologies enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephony, broadband wireless data, and video calling all in a mobile environment. Additional features also include HSPA data transmission capabilities able to deliver speeds up to 14.4Mbps on the downlink and 5.8Mbps on the uplink." - See that? NOT JUST VIDEO CALLING, I think faster web browsing may just be the reason for the 3G chip, dont ya think hmm?? Compare that to EDGE which is 100kbps if you're lucky.
There's no official word on bluetooth file transfer or A2DP as yet so don't say it hasn't got it (it probably won't but we don't know for sure so hush) I'd rather use my amazingly comfortable Sennheiser CX300 'phones until they actually produce a plausible set of stereo bluetooth cans with comparable quality, and as far as I'm concerned, by the time that happens I'm sure we'll be on Iphone 3...
2Mp camera, ok not the best but it's also not the worst, a flash would have spoilt the svelte looks, but AF seems a glaring omission :(
No QWERTY keyboard - Oh seriously??!! If you want a QWERTY, go and buy a fricking Sidekick for gods sake
"haha..wat a lousy phone...nothin much difference with the old 1..ppl who knows phone well surely wont buy this kind of thing" - Oh dear, clearly someone who's never seen or used an iPhone...
"Same old screen" - Erm last time I checked it was still better than 99% of the phones on the market!? What do you want ? 1080p ? Yeah ok lets pay $1000 instead of $199 for a few more pixels eh ?
N96 is a worse phone than the N95 for practicality, battery is worse, none of this fancy dan rubbish, Nokia fanboys get ur heads read, it's not even out yet and by the time it is, it will be trounced by the likes of the HTC touch diamond of you want to have a specification war!! It really angers me how there's so many people who are so quick to criticise it when they've probably never used one in their life!! Fools

i dont now why this i phone s rumored last couple of months or so ,
same old design and most properly same old OS , most of them highly expect da device since it carried out a label 3G iPhone , as many point out what is the point of 3G where there is no video call, it affects majority of the asia and Africa where 3G means only Video call despted fast data speed , Hi-Fi internet experience,
its Time to Apple to now to change their design other wise there destory by Nokia and other vanders . as per me iphone is looking cool its not the proper infect its a ipod touch with calling faclity thats all .
