Would rather use buy cheap phone and use custom rom rather than buying expensive phone and using stock rom. At any price point, custom roms are better than stock rom. No unnecessary apps.

These cheap phones have the best custom rom support. Hard to find custom roms for expensive phones nowadays, another reason not to buy them

Nice phone but I can't use it. Xiaomi has implemented PWM in the LCD of about 1400hz. I get excruciating headaches. It is a big shame PWM is being used in many phones today with LCD display.

[deleted post]I'm from Eastern Europe and I don't know a single person that owns a chinese phone. Everyone that I know has Samsung or Apple. Most of the people buying china brands in East Europe are old people, teenagers who can't afford high-end products and people who live in the rural areas and are completely out of touch with technology.
I've met a friend that had a Huawei last year and boy, everyone was making fun of him. He immediately went and switched for an iPhone :))

I don't care much about this Poco's IPS LCD display since IPS LCD doesn't suffer from screen burn-in, unlike AMOLED.

I had experienced once, but it was my own fault for buying refurbished Mi 4c. The only solution was to replace the touch panel, of course along with other things, since it's hard to replace properly just the touch panel. About MIUI, it has been mentioned many times here at GSMArena, it's a love hate relationship. It's either you love it, hate to use it as everyday OS, or unlock your bootloader and replace it with custom rom.

Some Xiaomi phones like this Poco does offer great value in terms of flagship-grade performance, but MIUI really leaves a lot to be desired, especially for Poco models with all the baked-in ads. Since I know how to flash custom ROM, I flashed ArrowOS with microG in it and never look back. I could have just bought any HMD Nokia smartphones since they offer a Pixel-like experience out of the box, but they only focus on budget and entry-level phones at the moment. I am totally tempted by Sony's lucrative Xperia offering, but I'll wait for next year's model with Qualcomm's brand new Snapdragon chipsets.

I mean stores in my country were literally dumping this phone with €70 to €100 off, because otherwise no sane person would buy this thing if the F3 is just €10 euro more...

I am a long android user, and miui has really been one of my favorite iterations of android,it is packed with software features. I have poco x3 pro 256 gb variant,so far i didnt noticed all those issues mentioned eg ghost touch, screen flicker etc. I have a vayu with tianma panel,so far its good. The only thing i dont like about the poco is cameras and the 120hz issue. But all others are great. The panel display panel is great! Not the best definitely, but if the panel can go over 1000nits,man you will not feel that much difference in terms of colors with amoled panel.

I wish I could like Xiaomi/Poco phones. However, I hear about MIUI bugs and things like ghost touch and unresponsive display areas all the time. The last time I owned a Xiaomi device was in 2019 - I had a Redmi Note 8T 4/64 for 2 days but I had to return it because of how laggy it was, and also the bottom of the display had weird touch delay issues which made typing unbearable. Later on I switched to Moto G8 Power which had the same chipset, but ran much better.
