These Huawei chips were also completely in-house developments. And of course, Huawei has dovetailed its software with the hardware. Even before the US sanctions, the camera software, Huawei's GPU Turbo Mode or the battery management were tailored to the Kirin chips.How you can completely ignore something like this.
And own designed chips for electronic products are actually quite a well-known and old approach in the electronics industry.
E.g. Console Gaming. From Nintendo's SNES, to Sega's Saturn, to the PS2 and PS3 (such as the famous hyped and then mega-failed Cell Chip) and many more.
Microsoft was then the first major console manufacturer to incorporate standard PC hardware into consoles.

The same SD chip can do only 2 fps
Yeah, Google is also for Cheaping out phone and their build phone is less than $20 phones
I would touch Google phone even with a 1000 ft pole.

Smartphone cameras is where's camera innovation is really happening
Meanwhile "physical photography" has stagnated DSLRS are just same old same old technology pretty much
A prime example of brain over brain these tiny sensors without a doubt will defeat DSLRs just using intelligence
It won't matter in the future what image was taken but who had the best processing

Im not surprised if this just based on Vivo V1 ISP .. Oppo just improve it a bit .. And called it something new ..
And also Realme might as well announced their custom ISP chips & create hype around it..which turn out to be the same things with different name.
