But people do not seem to get this. They think 50MP out of phone is not much behind a 50MP out of pro 📷, when it is way behind even 12MP micro 4/3 📷.
The people that do not believe can do easy test. Print photo from the phone, good size like 28in x 21 in. To see how bad it looks.

20bit HDR in raw spa... moreYou do not need custom ISP to deal with WRGB sensor.
Even with regular ISP from CPU, the WRGB quadbayer can still save 2 frames (one rggb and one monochrome) to overlap them later.
The idea of own ISP is to have more controls and also add something not provided by the CPU's ISP.

NONor Oppo. Because they are gonna keep imx766, which is 12-bit sensor.
No sensor maker has 20-bit to sell.
Not for phones, photo cameras, video cameras or security system.

This is not some imagination, Quantum Dot is already going to replace CMOS by 2025 and Samsung themselves said they are going to bbring 600MP mobile sensors by 2026.

Why should I care how the picture quality will be in 15 years? I want to have good picture quality now (and of course in the past).
Mark my word puppy: When the X4 will be released next year it will produce pictures that are identical to the other phones out there that have standard components installed. The pictures will look great on a small screen but look f*cked up on a high resolution screen (>4k).

And it does not process RGB White pixel array
So how does oppo copying something that does not exist in a pixel phone not even the pixel 6 can do this.. what's your explanation??

Yukvgffh, 14 Dec 2021The snapdragon 888+ can do more than 20TOPS, this can only do 18Still the SD888 powered phone can do only 2 images per second with 1.7 watts compared to the custom NPU+ISP MariSilicon's 40 images per second and 0.75 watts power consumption. The SD consumes more than double the energy and only capable of 1/20 performance.
Qualcomm should be the next intel.

Do not expect to see this on phone before 2028.
12-bit sensors have been around since 2016.
