There might be a reason for camera downgrades, maybe Xiaomi and Samsung had a deal since the Mi Note 10's 108 MP, or they were just disappointed by the GN2 and decided to go with a Sony sensor even if it's a smaller sensor with smaller pixels.
For the telephoto, maybe they thought having a higher quality zoom is more important than having more reach, the 11 Pro had a 5x periscope telephoto but with a 8 MP sensor.

Xiaomi 12 or Samsung S21FE? I have a Xiaomi Mi9T Pro at the moment and I'm familiar with MIUI system. No troubles so far. :)

Both underwhelming...
Xiaomi is slowly making these two weaker to lure people to Ultra.
Exactly dirty move done by samsung.
Usb2.0
Pro with 48mm camera, also 1/2.8" , periscope just for Ultra.
Vanilla with 1080p when previous was QHD.

S20U without LTPO gets stupid battery life with 5000mah
