Opti... moreMotion eye is name given to those sensors that have DRAM inside. Tech created by Sony and used by RX100 since 2015. Later given to few models of Alpha cameras and xperia.
By the way, same tech used by Galaxy S9 one year after XZ Premium.

Opti... moreA lot of companies does this simply because they are proud of their own technologies. Yes, it may be not a new tech but these tech we're single handedly developed by these companies without using IP's of other companies.
If I were to develop my own image processor or stabilization software, of course I want to name it myself.
Another example of these are in auto industry Mazda has skyactiv, Honda has vtec, Nissan has nissan intelligent mobility etc. All of these has a lot of similarities and functions the only difference is, it is entirely developed seperately by different companies.
