Who needs a nearly $1000 smartphone released back in 2021 but sold on 2022 which doesn't have wireless charging, face unlock, getting hot as hell and has the worst selfie camera ever? Who needs archaic hole in the case (headphone jack) and microSD card slot having 128GB or more embedded storage in 2022? Nobody!

Juan Bagnell aka SomeGadgetGuy mentioned this in his review video. The problem with the US smartphone market is that the carrier-locked game is very strong there. It's very hard to find an Unlocked model there.

Oh Sony! What a wonderful company! They just started to sell the last year smartphone. What an achievement!!!! Nobody does it. I always knew that Sony is very unique company, not necessarily in a good way though....

It doesn't matter if it's late
A pure gold is always a gold
And this phone is by far better than stupid phones that would be sold in US
Plus it has headphone jack😨 and SD card slot😰

Don't think you're getting a phone that was held back to make it perfect. The other Xperia phones are nice hardware but the software is garbage. Bare-bones AOSP used to be a good thing but Google has been crapping all over Android the last few releases. Shortcut tiles are missing, microSD access is throttled and crippled in software, notifications are buggy, the CPU governor isn't very good, and cellular features that you'd expect in a modern phone are turned off. Sony adds a couple of few miserably bad apps for the Xperia hardware and some dated UX enhancements.

It has a much bigger battery, more RAM in comparison to a base variant iPhone 13 Pro, because both are of the same price. The 5 III camera can record in 4K 120 FPS while the iPhone caps at 60. The Xperia has faster USB 3.1 and faster charging at 30W. It's not cheap at 1000$ but definitely not overpriced I would say. For all that it offers. ✌️

Who cares, now? We are 3 months away from the announcement of the Xperia 5 mk IV. Thanks to Sony's exceptional product-management it will be available blazing fast soon in October. Go for it Sony, go. ;-)

The release dates is the main reason for their lack of sales. The XZ Premium sold well because it was actually released on a timely manner. No one wants to pay a flagship price when the hardware is outdated in just a few months.

So Vlad you will totally ignore the fact that this phone comes with a charger, an SD card slot, a dedicated shutter button for the camera, a headphone jack and also a premium pair of headphones, and some extra free stuff, all this at the same price of an iPhone 13 Pro that lacks ALL of those ? Not to mention this is a Sony Xperia we're talking about. You can't just compare it with the Xiaomis or the Oppos even if they have the same processor. A processor is not everything on a phone. This obviously is a highly biased opinion about the phone
