23 January 2022
Recently launched phones typically support 5G and many carriers  already have 5G networks. But coverage is far from 100%.

Solun1, 24 Jan 2022No, there is no content on mobile devices that requires 5G ... moreMn you have no absolutely idea what you talking about .. ''real4G '' my god explaing real 4g..
who nobody ever had since 2014 right Solan or Solun or whatever?

AnonD-844232, 24 Jan 2022Of course there is content ... I play multiplayer games now... moreNo, there is no content on mobile devices that requires 5G speeds instead of 4G speeds. Even your incredibly dumb example has absolutely no relation to 4G/5G speeds because it's only got something to do with your network providers poor network stability. Don't say you need 5G when you obviously never experienced good 4G connection. The speeds you are mentioning that you had on 4G have nothing to do with real 4G. Get a grip.

Where's the "5G is slower than LTE where I am" option

In 2012 up to end of summer 2014 i lived in Sheffield me and two more friends for 540 a month just rent for a house.
Electricity, Gas, Water and other bills are another story.

Why there is no option for massive battery drain on using 5G? My carrier has upgraded my plan to 5G. It might bring a faster speed that may benefit to me, but sadly that it also heavy use the battery and reduce the battery life as well.

                      AnonD-844232, 23 Jan 2022what speeds u get?I don't know.

I wouldn't mind 5G, lower ping is always welcome. Current speed on the 4G network here is about 150 Mbps, which is plenty enough for now, but the latency of 29ms could be much improved.

Only one problem. Where are the large, bezel-less flatscreen (I can't believe this description has to be revived) 5G phones without notches or punch holes?

I can only think of one, the ZTE Axon 30 5G, which isn't available here...

If i go to the mall around 9 in the morning i could easily got 100mbps-150mbps on 4G
But on the weekend around 12-19. 5mbps-15mbps is the norm.

If there's any big holiday or big event hosted in the mall. Sometimes i could only send messages on Whatsapp, but can't watch YouTube.

And I am connected via hotspot and 4G I have is max 100-150 but during peek times many ppl using so speed is reduced to 60 -80 f- 100 fluctuating.. I am able to play warzone no problem but occasionally l will loose connection.. With 5G which my OP launched now from this year the wireless multiplayer gaming will be without disconnections ..
So yeah I am hapy with 5G as I pay only £16 quid /month ;)

I had 4G in the UK already in 2014 2015 .. And nothing came to sk until a few years later
forka was the first to offer 4G and I always cursed that I was tastefully switched to the 4G 3G signal by traveling north; D
in 2017 2018 there was still nothing in Orava .. and there was already nothing in the upper Orava in Námestovo
It depends mainly on the mayor of each city. So expect 5G all over SK in 5 years just like it was with 4G ..
here in the uk there is 5G from 2019 - 2020 i ignored it because the bids were stupid
but now my op smarty from new year started to support 5G without price increase
I pay Sim only £ 16 pounds all unlimited I have a deal for a year now and now I have a deal again for another year £ 16 with 5G. I just had to buy a 5G I tried the Huawei P40 and I had a 700-800 download and a 50 up. so about so
as for rents don't worry everywhere is expensive here in the uk prices have gone up as well and a 3 room semi house costs £ 700 £ 800 pounds
I have a 3 room house for £ 425 because I have been dealing for many years
It is already better to buy a mortgage house and repay £ 400 £ 500 a month.
so don't worry about 5G on sk sooner or later;)

You will never reach your requested speeds.. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
no one wifi can even manage it
what u talking is values on paper NOT real world speeds. all that traffic is spread across 1000 usesr per masts.. c'moon little boy get real
it is all same with IT industry you have
for example NVMe SSD is designed for a PCIe 3.0 interface and fits in a x4 lane, delivering up to 7.9 Gb/s transfer rate and up to 3.9 GB/s throughput
but you will never ever reach those speeds..
i think you need to do more research and more learning
what is advertised on "paper" or labeled as "UP TO" and then measure actual real end user speed.
with 4G mobile network you will max 300Mbps real world never ever more. and I only had one user who claimed 200Mbps max on 4G
5G max speed is 10Gbps theoretical real peak download speed are 700-1000Mbps
What u talking are theoretical never achieveable speeds.
                                      Do learn facts boy ;)

I have 5G on my phone, but it doesn't feel any practically faster than 4G in general day to day use.

Unless you've got an unlimited data plan you're not going to be downloading huge files on the regular so for casual browsing, videos and the occasional app update, it's all just marketing into we get unlimited mobile broadband plans.
