Weekly poll: are you using 5G on your phone?

23 January 2022
Recently launched phones typically support 5G and many carriers  already have 5G networks. But coverage is far from 100%.

I guess he is using one of their recent 4G models.

Useless feature, unless you have unlimited data subcription ... and your name is jeff bezos or bill gates !

Yeah 5G is faster, but as of right now, i don't see any reason to use it. 4G is fast enough for anything I'd want to do on a phone, plus it consumes less battery & is more stable. So until we come to the point when 4G starts feeling slow, I will keep using it.

Map is incorrect, 5g is not available in Iran for public. They just test it in one location.

We have 5G in Croatia (Central Europe) but I don't use it. My 4G+ network is great (80-120 Mb/s download), and I will rather invest in 4G smartphone than 5G becouse they have way better specs for the same price. And when more people go to 5G network, there will be less usage on 4G networks and this will increase mobile data speeds even more. Win-win for me!

algeria investing in 5g? doubt that, since we barely have a working 4g

Last year start I want the Samsung a72 for the zoom x3 camera instead of the a52 5g. 4g+ is still decent so I want something I didn't have, the camera setup and 5000mqh battery. I will hait for samsung a74 with the 5g to finally move to 5g in hopes for a mature network.

Nope, coverage is still not where I want it to be. I turn it off since 4G is plenty fast for whatever I need to do. Plus I save battery.

What's the point of 5G when there are still monthly data capped and download speed capped...
