Oh, so they are going address the
1. Lack of memory card slot
2. Removable battery
3. Poor battery
4. Lack of updates (**cough*Sensation XE*Cough**) to phones only over a year old
5. Sort out the lovely but ever so resource hungry Sense UI
It would be a shame for them to fade away seen as they were such a key company back when they were an OEM maker.

How much u have used ur memory in s3 ?
Sense have more flexible then tochviz
htc too have NFC and s beam
they only lack in marketing otherwise their products are much better then samsung.

101% right...i really wonder no effective penetration by HTC team abt HTC OneX ...A Wonderful creature in smart phones but due to lack of advt its not sold. HTC products are far better then samsung in quality they are very smooth. I think HTC learns its lessons very late...looking forward to Droid DNA in Asia with huge market hype !!

microsoft surface had tons of marketing yet pisspoor sales, then htc says marketing was the problem and root of all their faults

I was a Htc Fanboy now a i own a S3 north american version. The main reason why i did not go for HTC one x over S3
1. No Sd card slot (the main reason for me)
2.No removable batterie
3. S Bean( Samsung exclusive)
4. Hdmi Out
5. Usb On the go( 2nd main reason)
6. Prefer amoled over ips lcd
7. Real multitasking like S3 and Note 2 on 4.1.2
8. Update(I had my S3 since day one and had 2 update since then 4.0 to 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 now waiting for 4.1.2 or 4.2)
Prefere sence over touchwiz. I use Nova launcher anyway.
Htc give me all this and a will come back!!!!

There was NO STOCK of HTC One X in Gauteng province of South Africa for December, can you believe this in this sector. If this is applied all over the world, then your answer to poor results for 2012 is clear. By the i'm still waiting for stock. Loyal you might say considering the other offerings.

you can start by adding a front-facing camera to your lower-end models. was considering the 8S for my dad but decided against it as there was no front facing camera. same case for one v.

but htc market share in 2012 is still better then nokia by far, they just lost from samsung and apple.

Marketing has never been a strong point of HTC, anyone remember those really bad Wildfire S and Flyer ads they had on TV a year or so ago?
