BJRG, 26 Feb 2022ASUS is such a comedy brand. 😂Agreed, there must be so much stock of unsold zenfones with asuz that they had that eureka moment to launch in India as part of their stock clearance phase.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2022Same story... Gone with S20 FE and it didn't disappoin... moreI don't know what you actually gained by s20 fe anyway. 4 years of android updates translate to 3-4 interactions of android version, so it'll be supported till Android 13 or 14 (14 not confirmed). Same support goes for 8z, it'll be supported till A13 for sure, and maybe Android 14, but not confirmed.

Apart from that s20 fe is inferior in every aspect. be it build quality, performance, sound output.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2022Yeah really good user experience my rog2 died 2 times in 1 ... moreUnlucky for you.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2022Why would they change the phone name just for the Indian market.Because zen is registered by other company in India

I did wait for 2/3 weeks, then purchased iPhone 12. Today's consumers do not wait for even a month after release, when it comes to mainstream flagships. I know Asus has trouble with the 'zenfone' brand in India. They could have simply planned a rebranded variant for India after global launch happened, or could have launched a refreshed spec this time in India. Overall, is too late. Asus now has to price it below INR 30k, else it makes no sense at all.

Finally, one more good phone, apart from chinese hub. I wonder why the skipped the launch from last year August to now. All Indians dont have an option other than products from BBK, xiaomi, realmi. And why so many new company chinese company can come up here but not others except samsung, apple and now asus. On pricing terms previous asus phones were inline too. But this asus 8z is not launched in time though.
