And Apple also overcharges way too much for a simple memory upgrade. The 128 GB variant is like $640 here, so at that price Android phones provide far better options, enough features to offset the compact advantage the SE has. So much for a compact phone

[deleted post]That matters to you dude, others will feel differently. Now what you said about the specs having higher numbers of Android is generally true yes, and if higher numbers is what floats your boat, then by all means, go Android nuts…..
But you seem to ignore both fact that higher numbers in and of themselves aren’t the be all and end all, and that other people are drawn to iOS for other reasons besides simple spec numbers.
So you stick with Android dude, and let those that feel iOS far from being a ‘prison’, actually enables them to do all they require with a smartphone (and do it very well) carry on…….

Most apps are not that useful in split screen mode since it’s just too small, especially when the keyboard is up.

In some markets, this phone is not $430, but more like $550-$600+, especially for the larger storage tier. This is the problem with iPhones. Their value proposition goes out of whack outside the US. At $600+ price point, might as well get something like the S21 FE.

If I really want to use an iPhone, I'll go for XS or 11 Pro. They are still blazing fast in 2022.

I like the new SE but really disappointed by the price. Not that I cannot afford one but it simply is not worth the asking prices. Outside US the prices are to the point that the SE is simply out of consideration for several prospective buyers, but the bigger disappointment is that there are absolutely none true compact phones in Android space

All they care is it's an iPhone with an Apple logo on it. Many people who cannot afford new iPhones intentionally buy used iPhone 6s/7/8 just so they can have an iPhone.
The major weakness of this SE is the battery life. 2000mAh battery is pathetic for 2022 smartphone.

Face id is better than fingerprint because when you put gloves or your hands are wet you can’t use it and face id is faster than fingerprint

Ever since iOS13, you can use the Files app to read/write to/from an external drive. You just need a lightning to USB adapter, and plug in the USB flash drive. The same with iPadOS.
