Here’s how Oppo guarantees 1600 charge cycles on the Find X5 Pro

The company is bringing two battery management technologies, developed after three years of research.

30Watt-50Watt charging is fine. It's time for these companies to do well in software optimisation so that battery can last 7-8 hours of screen on time.

Good for Oppo, I guess, but only time will tell if this holds water or if its only marketing BS.

As far as I know, only LG & Sony had technologies to protect the battery (Qnovo).

Also how is it ridiculous for 4 years old version to be dropped? It's freaking 4 years old. You're just all so used to next to ZERO support with Android that using years old OS is your default stance.

Also I don't know what it matters how much RAM it is used. I haven't checked that even once on my iPhone and it's well over 3 years old now. Technically, you always want as much RAM used as possible. It's there, why not use it. If there are issues, report them, complaining about them here on GSMArena won't fix it.

You should read on how this one engineer wanted to improve upon fast charging by increasing amps instead of voltage

And oppo didn't support them saying that apple and the others are going the increased voltage route

That team developed the technology anyways and gave birth to vooc that we know now

But I had no choice because there were apps no longer working. Which is ridiculous since iOS12 is from 2018.

RAM management is horrible. Sometimes apps shut down from nowhere.
RAM is always above 80% used , despite 1 app open.
None of this was seen when I had iOS12.

Unlike what brands say, your device will never be safe, no matter version of the OS. Criminals can target your phone same way , you have android 12 or 6.

Also, too silly to say lack of software support is to sell more devices. People that demand more support are the ones often buying new devices.
Look at just in USA how many trade-in their iphones to get new one every year. Long supoort is being wasted.

Put this technology in a phone with a massive battery (like my ROG 2) and it could probably extend the phone's lifespan for up to 10 years (like the lifespan of those old Nokia phones).

I have a phone with Android Lollipop and bunch of apps don't work anymore (by not being listed at all anymore). The fact you're pushed forward with updates doesn't matter on iOS because you get updates for so long. That wouldn't be the case if Apple demanded latest versions, but not providing them. Which, again, isn't the case. Android updates often just don't exist, but you're free to use it even in updated form to certain degree until too many apps disappears from your view on GooglePlay because they are not supported.

Even phones with android 4.4 can use near 100% of the apps.

It is not like iOS, that you need to choose between updating at risk of bugs or being kept from using apps.

Meanwhile engineers are hard at work while most of you are sleeping in your bed
