Looks like now only tsmc will be making 8g1 (not only 8g1+ units).
Seems like 8g2 (still 4nm) and 8g3 (3nm) are tsmc as well.

I had phones years ago when I didn't know li-ion batteries that well and charged them to 100% over night and I could really sense a dramatic drop in battery capacity over time. This just isn't the case here thanks to just sticking to 20-80% charging routine.

That's not charging it at 100%, but I am putting it in charge overnight. This is the best implementation for software when it comes to battery care imo

The smaller the capacity, the lower the charging speed can be as top off occurs much sooner. I still charge overnight on my 7.5w charger as my phone lasts all day for my general usage. Anything over 4000mah would likely require at least 25w wired to sustain a reasonable charge time

Even 15W charger is good enough. I'm using Samsung A52. Charging is pretty fast for 4500Mah battery.

I'm also pretty sure there's many studies about this online that recommends this thing.

FenCPH, 03 Apr 2022Greed 🧐The batteries in the phones are rated to be able to maintain 80% after two years but thats the absolute WORST case scenario. That is if you were to fully deplete it to 0% and then fully charge it back to 100% every day for two years. In reality, most people don't do this and if you are properly taking care of your battery you'd still maintain around 85-95% depending on exactly what you've done. Even with the absolute worse case scenario after 4 years you'd still have something like roughly 60% after those 4 years. Its like your car, your car is never going to run as good as it did the first year you had it, but people will continue to keep their car for a long time. Most people don't know how to fix their own car just like how most people don't know how to replace their phone battery and need to bring it to a mechanic or professional phone repair shop. Alternatively you can learn to do it yourself.

[deleted post]Obviously not a knowledgeable member of the society 🙄

Every knowledgeable user should buy a CHARGIE a fairly cheap module that you can set to charge your mobile to 80 % or any other limit of your choosing.
CHARGIE can even be set to start charging at a specific time during the night.
Works via Bluetooth to the mobile.
I am not affiliated with the company, just a satisfied user of 2 years.
I use a galaxy xcover pro that has user replaceable batteries.
                                        Keep E-waste at minimum 😒
