Non availability of Custom Roms and poor optimization with most popular apps will always make MediaTek my last choice. I often find good phones at competitive prices with MediaTek chips but I defer from even considering them as good options given MediaTek's components in the SoC(except CPU) like GPU, NPU, Modem, etc. are nowhere near Qualcomm's and their negligence for the Dev community.

The top ones are mostly for the show, to put numbers on paper and say: "Look, mine is bigger than yours", but on the expense of battery life, sustained performance, price.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2022why do you think mali is so weak that it cant emulate retro... moreIts not weak just has bad open gl drivers. While you wont see difference in older console like ps1, psp, GBA etc newer one like ps2, wii, Gamecube, 3ds etc Adreno has clear Advantage over Mali.
In Vulkan Mali perform somehow better but vulkan is not stable yet.
