I have the 512gig S22 Ultra and the battery life is not what they claim. Or as least in my experience with the new handset, it hasn't been all that stellar. I had to disable "Motion Smoothness" and lower my brightness or not use auto brightness. Everything else is great, beautiful screen, excellent camera night mode. That battery though... 🤮

Even though software support is important from a certain point of view, the immediate effect of using a phone is not the software support.
And let's be honest, almost all the people I know that have iPhones change their phones once per 3 years. Many even once per 2 years. This so called 5-6 years mark is only on paper and majority of iPhone users update more frequently their phones. Is used mainly by fanboys online, to justify their love for Apple. In reality it has no practicality whatsoever.
I don't know a single person who uses nowadays an iPhone X for example. Even though 5 years ago, almost all the people I knew with an iPhone, had one. All of them have updated to iPhone 11, 12 or 13 series (Pro's or Pro Max's).

Can you remember the days of, at least, the Galaxy S5 in 2014? You couldn't even do burst camera capture on external storage. But external storage still existed on Samsung high end more than 8 years later. Even, just think about in, even for a computer, external storage like a laptop will be slower than NVME, is is a reason to ban external storage on a laptop? Complete sh!tty excuse. Expandable storage is more than just speed, it is also about... Backup. And cloud is even 20x slower than expandable storage like microSD and there are a whole set of limitations with cloud storage. Do you work for Samsung?

The moment of realization for me was seeing Xperia 5 III review as I'm still rocking my Xperia 5 II. There was virtually ZERO reason to upgrade and it literally felt more like a sidegrade, with SD888 being basically an overclocked SD865. Same case for most phones these days, there is just nowhere else to go.
btw. you were lucky with that phone pick, OP6 and OP6T were last decent OnePlus phones in my opinion.

But if you want me to pay 1000€ for your phones, these phones better have it all. And they don't.
Old phones had so many features and their prices were lower...
Samsung is trying so hard to become "cult" company like Apple but they can't. They core user base is different and they are losing them and very little people are switching from iphones.
Now they removed headphone jack from A53 and A73 and pushed exynos with A53. Watch their sales become even worse and I can't wait for it to happen!

No SD card slot = NO BUY!
Please, don't give me the 'It's slow excuse'. I almost never use the camera, let alone take videos. I don't install apps on it. I just use it as backup storage for a LOT of things like movies, photos, torrents, apks, kits, scripts, programs etc.
I really wanted a new Note for my 1TB Extreme Pro SD card from SanDisk, but I guess I'm switching to Sony.
Bye-bye Samsung!

MicroSD is a cheap & convenient alternative to increase device storage.
EXAMPLE- iphone 13 128gb cost ₹5000 compared to its 64gb model.so if theoretically iphone 13 supported MicroSD then you could get 64gb varient with MicroSD(cost-₹500-600) & transfer large files to MicroSD.
This is the convenience & cost advantage of MicroSD.
Cloud storage is expensive & less secure compred to MicroSD.

It is not GOS, it is the poor battery life, the Exynos and the unrefined software with all the glitches - display, camera, random freezes and restarts, phone calls disconnects and so on and so on…. That being said, I am an owner of S22 Ultra, but I am strongly considering selling it and going for something else. I am not a gamer, but 5-6h of SOT is a no go for me.
