We're upgrading our trusty MacBook Air and ditching our Windows PC.

They told their system was custom-built, while comparing Mac studio with Mac Air. That makes no sense. I highly question the reason for this article to even exist. And they're WRONG. I use Resolve on my custom build desktop and it works flawlessly. There will be a couple of firmware that goes wonky, but that happens with all systems. (I have worked on Macs too). The companies would release a counter firmware soo to ease out bugs and it would run just fine after that.
    Although I can say, Apple's ProRes Raw works the best on Macs, all the other codecs are just wonderful with a custom build. All I can say is that this product is just a novelty which also performs respectively.

In case of failure, spare parts order is 2 hours, hot swap or turn of, carefully swap, turn on again 10 minutes. If you have more than two days to waste for service, Why should you buy faster machine at first place. TimeLimit is what pushes businesses to upgrade to faster and more responsive machines.

                So basically mac for Photo, video and audio.

                And PC's are beast in 3D be it games, animation, simulation, 3d rendering etc. They are also good at photo, video and audio.

                But Apple has main advantages in audio and video softwares i.e., logic and final cut. Where as PC has to rely on davinci, premiere, ableton, audition etc. All are third party solutions but not native like Apple.

                  Thats right the only thing Mac is good for for video editing. You start to do anything else and custom build PC with dedicated graphics would just destroy this useless junk. Don't get your hopes up. Yes good for editing, crap for anything else.

                      Sometimes they'll do some stupid shit, like the "pro" monitor stand or non-removable power cable, but barely anyone cares.

                          40 hours a year is not too much to justify such an investment. I would have rather waited for the MacBook Air M2 if I were you. Also, MacBook Air is ultra-portable.

                              Now, if you look closely how Apple posts are released or created, they are more neutral. Not so much hate or sarcasm towards Apple anymore.
                              Maybe is just me and I am imagining things. But this is what I see.

It would crash. It wasn’t as fast or reliable as the Mac (including surprisingly the tiny MacBook Air). Predictability and dependability are important when you’re trying to run a business.
