Anonymous, 03 Jun 2022At this point they are either trolling you or just refusing... moreAfter some more comments from him above, I don't think he's trolling. He genuinely thinks he's right and then once again gets all the facts wrong. XD He of course had to mention how I'm an iPhone user however. Because that's the go to "gotcha" phrase around here apparently. Because god forbid a very technical person using an iPhone...

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2022You are just consistently proving yourself to be wrong lol.... moreYeah, because LTPO is OLED. Always was, always will be. Every phone with OLED display is not LTPO. But every phone with LTPO display is OLED. How did you manage to do it literally backwards and still insisting you're right lol? I don't think I've ever seen anyone be so confidently wrong as you. But carry on, it's a good laugh for everyone who actually understand displays...

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2022The only one wrong here is you. LTPO cannot be called OLED,... moreIf it's LTPO OLED, what is it then? An LCD? Plasma? Laser projector? It's OLED lol. You have all of it backwards and you keep insisting how wrong I am, not you. Carry on, it's hilarious to watch someone be so wrong yet so confident in their wrong lol

LTPO cannot be called OLED, like you keep saying, because it is an upgrade to the existing display tech and not the tech itself. You can say that the display is an LTPO OLED but you can't say that LTPO is OLED

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2022An out of warranty screen replacement costs $475 from Samsu... moreMan only if you buy directly from Samsung and depends on country you buy.
If you buy from any other wendor or carrier their terms of repair apply and in most cases if you break inner screen it was your fault and you have to pay expensive repair,
Your statement makes sense for maybe your country and several other countries if you buy directly from samsung.
But for example hre in Slovakia (tiny country in central europe) most people buy phones from carriers on 2 years contract.
Because 90% of Slovakia people earns between 500-900 eur per month and rest 10% earns over 1500 eur.
And those carriers wont give you any single repair on a phone inner screen.
Same apply if you buy from any vendor apart from maybe samsung.
In case of buying directly from samsung i dont know their terms of repair for their folding or flipping phones. But as with everything here in Slovakia most vendors will charge you for litterary everything.

However, a one time free screen replacement is available if your folding phone is still under warranty from Samsung. If you buy Samsung care ($12 dollars a month) it is completely free as long as you're subscribed to Samsung care. I've also read that ppl have gotten new batteries with their screen replacement from Samsung because the battery health went back up to like 95% +

This is still cheaper than Apple so make what you will with this info

SShock, 02 Jun 2022Dear god, give me strength to deal with this guy... LTPO is... moreAlso, LTPO is not a display type, like you keep saying. It's a display tech

[deleted post]Dear god, give me strength to deal with this guy... LTPO is NOT an "upgrade" to OLED, LTPO IS OLED. It's just a different more advanced variant of it with variable super low refresh rate and ability to refresh individual pixels without refreshing entire display. Regular OLED displays like AMOLED are incapable of doing that.

Apple didn't "beg" anyone to source them panels. They gave the design of their own to Samsung/LG and they manufactured displays per Apple's design and specifications. And saying LTPO isn't big when basically up till this point ALL digital displays going as far back as cathode ray tubes, it was required to refresh entire display surface fully before you could change the content of display again. LTPO can address a refresh of individual pixels. For mobile devices, this is MASSIVE because it comes with huge power saving implication. It means instead of forcing a refresh of several million pixels (even though they didn't change), you issue a refresh of 300 pixels and nothing else. Not that this even means anything to you judging by the nonsense you're saying anyways but here it is.

LOL Say you sell 100 of something, then sell 200 of something the next year.
You will claim a 100% INCREASE in sales.

[deleted post]"Everyone knows". The guy was literally trying to convince me that LTPO is suppose to be something totally different than OLED somehow, all while being literally one and the same thing.

SShock, 02 Jun 2022LTPO is a type of OLED you absolute genius. Just like AMOLE... moreYou completely owned him 😆
