Despite having 4k resolution or so, android and iOS are still using virtual pixels and thus rendering according to virtual pixels and only then use up-scaling to native resolution.
So in the end, having more native pixels means that screen uses more power yet shows pretty much the same image at all resolutions.

I don't know why almost everyone want AMOLED screen as it always suffer screen burn-in issues and are totally expensive to repair. LCD are more reliable since there's never been screen burn-in issues and cost way less to repair.

Literally no difference of AMOLED and IPS, just hype

Flat OLED display, 18:9 aspect ratio, at least 120 Hz, SYMMETRICAL bezels, and I'm sold.

HD+ is great . Easy on the GPU so you can get max fps in games . Anything about 300ppi . Good colour reproduction is a must . *Cough* realme ..flat edge with the frame lip around the edge is important for long lasting . Don't really care of it's amoled as long as the colors reproduction is good

People choosing resolution of FHD+ with AMOLED definitely feels they're going backwards with it's sub pixel arrangement - the equivalency to true OLED or LCD is 720p, or just HD.

                          AMOLED QHD = FHD
                          AMOLED UHD = QHD
                          RG, BG vs RGB

notafanboy, 05 Jun 2022As expected the large majority prefers AMOLED over LCD crap.Don't trigger that one odd LCD shill here

The most important factor of all for me was left out: screen size. More small phones are needed, and by that I mean, screens which are make the cell phone say 66 or less mm wide. It's pitiful that as of 2022, the smallest phone available will be about 68mm wide, and there are, what, only one or two of those at that?

I accidentally smashed my Note 9 display back in the day exactly because it was curved dislay - if it wasnt, it would stil be fine. They charged me 300 Euros to replace it. Since then i never ever will buy a curved dislay.

What I really care about is aspect ratio. I'd love for there to be some phones with 16:9 ratio, I really don't like the current trend of tall skinny phones
