MediaTek should release more Dimensity 9000 phones globally. We are stuck with overpriced Vivo X80. Poco F4 Pro was our only hope.

Amazing .. they are getting even better .. They will surpass all chips soon ! I support them

For some curious reasons, the Dimensity 9000 didn't really sell as well as Medatek wanted. It may be due to the fact that it's using the TSMC node, which means that's it's price could be prohibitively expensive. The cost of TSMC manufacturing is probably not proportionate to the price.
Hopefully TSMC is discounting the Dimensity 9000+ by a noticeable amount and correcting for the much higher manufacturing costs.
It could also be possible that Snapdragon is blackmailing OEMs, asking them not to use Mediatek for flagships, or it would stop selling flagship Snapdragons at the promised rates.
Whatever the reasons, Mediatek needs to push a lot of these into top android flagships, and quickly.

Can we all just agree that we never use the full power of these chips (SD 8 Gen 1, MTK 9000 etc) because our phones' hardware isn't on par to take advantage of all that power?
So why are we arguing here?
It is all for brag at this point. We don't need better chips, we need better cameras, ROMs and batteries. Oh, and cooling systems!

Just have 9000+ only, silly to make 9000!

I will never bye MTK powered phone ever if it turns to Iphone or 100$ for 9000 MTK chipset.

Muthu, 22 Jun 2022Then you have to read other posts (by me and Ravi) in this ... moreThat's true. Only TSMC and Samsung can manufacture the chips and Mediatek only uses TSMC so far for manufacture. TSMC has limited capacity so they won't be able to manufacture them in sufficient quantities. It's a sad situation that only two companies are capable of manufacturing these high end chips but unfortunately that is the reality. However, it's still not Mediateks fault that they aren't available internationally. The manufactures could could choose to focus on international markets with some of their dimensity flagships if they wanted to but they prioritise the Chinese market for the ones they do have. It makes sense as they are Chinese based companies using them after all but I don't think Mediatek can really be blamed for those choices.

The issue is - Mediatek CANNOT manufacture enough of the flagship chips (Dimensity 9000/9000+) that they brag about.

It is phone companies that decide what phones to release in what market, not Mediatek. They just sell the chips to the respective companies. It's up to the android phone manufacturers whether or not they are going to relase dimensity 9000 models in international markets
