Best phone ever for the casuals. Complex photography is hidden but still available.

Even the basic Camera app is great. Every shot on iPhone is a gem. Casuals just need to remember 3 basic modes.. it should cover most cases.

        1. Portrait - If you want to capture the subject only.
        2. Video - If you want to capture video
        3. Photo - Every other stills.

For people who missed shots often: Settings -> Camera -> Preserve Settings. Practice, take out iPhone, press screen and swipe left.

For the non social casuals its a QR code scanner, text detector.

Nowadays the tech is so hair thin, its the application that counts.

So, nothing about the sensors? Where they come from the last 10 years..? I know the i11, 12 and 13 have Sony, but before that?

The Flip, 26 Jun 2022Apple uses HEIF and HEVC formats which are nightmare format... moreBlame Google for that, not Apple. HEIC is a superior quality and size format, if Google Photos can't automatically convert images for storage, what are they even doing?! My cloud provider which is probably like 100 times smaller than Google automatically converts HEIC photos to JPEG if I want that to be happening. I can as well have originals uploaded.

You also don't seem to know iPhones that well considering how much you complain about them here. iPhones store in HEIC by default, but every time you use Share, they convert images automatically to JPEG, making experience rather seamless.

It's always just Apple that copies features, but Android totally doesn't ever do that. Also, which "Android" are we talking here? The AOSP one or the endless versions of it done by individual vendors like Samsung or Xiaomi? You do realize they copy functionality from each other on literally daily basis... Also where in hell did you manage to find webOS as a "gotcha" argument lol?

SShock, 27 Jun 2022The whining collective, not you specifically. You know, the... moreIt's only a gimmick until Apple blatantly copies Android like they did to webOS with the gesture swipes. Then it becomes useful because Apple does it. Then all their cattle worshippers will say they invented it and was Google that copied them.

For every step Apple tries to do, they take two steps back. They stagnated the market with their removal of features and slow adoption to innovation. Then when they finally do it, it's like because they're patient. They wait to perfect it. If others are first to the market, all that was beta. Apple can do no wrong.

Currently on iOS 15 and I can't wait to get iOS 16. For me it has been great and like billion times better than with any Android phone I've ever owned, that basically didn't even get any updates, like at all.

You know, the same ones who constantly come into Apple articles and complain about s**t like periscope zoom. There is this 1% of loud people who demand periscope zoom or "no buy" and the rest just doesn't care. Periscope zoom is just such a niche thing and only reason companies include it on their flagships is to tick a "big specification on paper" that they then sell to you every single year.

I don't know why reviewers don't even mention the DNG aspects. I used Moto G52 and its camera is termed as garbage. And it is garbage until you use the Raw. There may not be more details than in the regular mode but they are much better and more organically present.

in your 3rd Graph (main Camera Aperture) are you sure in 2021, f/1.5 and f/1.6 are written correctly?

                                      Which is exactly 3x larger.

Problem is jpeg should be better as well. And it is not.
Worst of all android flagships (except motorola).

People wrongly think P6 Pro with larger cmos would humiliate all other phones.
Could only get embarrassed by other that use smaller.
